Quaestor Report

Hi all,

I stepped in as QUA sometime last week, so I'm still sorting myself out

somewhat! I think I have everything in this report, but if I've missed

anything, please let me know for next time :)

1. First off, congratulations to PRO Vervain Markenin for passing the Krath
   

Core Studies (and you thought I hadn't noticed :P).

1. Anga is working on a Master-Student programme which we're developing. Any
   

ideas, I'm sure she'd appreciate your input.

1. Phoenix phyle status:
   

Ange (TET) is running a competition to describe the photo sent out on the

Phoenix mailling list.

1. Hex phyle status:
   

Don't worry, I'm sorting out a TET for you. Hopefully I'll be announcig

him/her early next week. Hang on in there and enter the house-wide

competitions - there's plently to do!

1. Current competitions for Ektrosis:
   

• Write a story to include the words 'Ektrosis, Ice-cream, Bouncing Llama,
  

Kitchen'.

Less than 1 page A4, 12pt TNR, and highlight the words.

Deadline: Sunday midnight (or early monday morning).

• The Krath High Priest has gone loopy!
  

In two to four pages, write an interesting story on 1) Why the KHP deserves

to die and 2) How you decide to kill him. This is DB-WIDE!

Guidelines:

1) Find a good reason.

2) Be realistic, and take rank into account.

3) Make it a story. Don't make it a rough outline or narrative.

4) Originality and interesting content will win this event. Make it silly,

make it gory, make it crazy.

Deadline: February 7th 11:59pm.

Style: Limerick

1-3 pages, Arial, size 12

Describe a painful experience your DB character has gone through. You can

adapt a real life situation if you wish, or adapt a role-playing situation

or the like.

Fiction: "Invasion"

Style: Short Story

2-10 pages, Arial, size 12

You feel a strange twang in the back of your head. Something is not right at

your Clan's HQ. You leave your studies and investigate, only to find a

horror beyond horrors stalking your fellow clanmates! You track it, trying

to keep out of sight, but you fail. The horror has found you!

Use this and write an interesting, original short story. The more unique

and interesting, the better!

.....I think that's the lot!

Aragorn is planning to begin a new short competition sometime next week, so

we won't leave you bored after Monday :)
