Clan / House news

• QUA Page Meridian has resigned, Drako has appointed me as QUA. There is currently no formal application process for AED, we're evaluating some possibilities first. For the moment, DJK Dalthid shall function as acting AED as soon as he's back online from his move. Due to the GJW, the appointment of a longterm AED may be delayed until after that event so nobody's time will be wasted writing apps ;-) (Hint: A good GJW participation may just be the recommendation you need)

• DJK Sylph and ACO Dimitri Oberyst were reported AWOL. They haven't shown any contact in more than a month, so out they go.

Competitions

• The GJW runon closes tomorrow, Feb 17. If you haven't posted yet, DO SO!!! This is also judged by participation percentage and one single post makes you count as participated!

• Medals: Erm... uh... one. But this one's a biggie:

Reason given for request: I have received this medal recommendation for the departing Spirits of the Night TET DJK Dalthid. I can only fully support it - Dalthid has provided not only an example in leadership but has also been incredibly active in competitions at all levels with a near 100% rate of placing within the top 3. This award should serve as a big thank you from House Aleema for being the most active member we had in quite a while.

DJK Dalthid (2563) should get a SC for his constant, almost 100% activity, maintaining the Phyle website and giving input on things that seem amiss. I'd opt for a promotion but I know it isn't time for another one yet. :) Arania

Comments of a general nature:

Well, the Kaiann is back at the helm and it looks about as much as it did the first time - there's a rather small core of active members keeping the House out of the "completely dead" zone (although last time it was much smaller), the quality of submissions is generally up there, but what is lacking is a larger amount of Jedi just being active and making the difference between a set of good competition results and a truly living House with bustling corridors and a 24/7 filled mess hall. So if you know a friend (or six) interested in Star Wars and writing, get them to the Brotherhood and we'll make true Jedi of them.

I'd like to hear from each of you at least once a week - no "activity reports", just show me you're there and still having fun, and my first goal with Aleema is 20 by the end of May. If each of us talks to two people in that time and one of them joins, we are making this goal.

Plans:

Once the GJW is over, I'll open the floor for ideas of which kinds of events you folks would really like to participate in. Remember: If it's DB-related and Krathish, we can run it, so if you have this one wacko idea of a great Krath comp, let me hear it and we'll put it out into reality for you and all others to take part in!
