Second week as an independent Brotherhood and things are settling down.

We have a new DGM in the person of Grand Master Jac Ae Cotelin and his former position of Emissary is being filled by none than the eternal Consul Drako. Congrats.

The position of CSK Consul will likely be taken by PCON Gord Darkonian.

And before anyone asks - I'm not going PCON. I'll stay with the House.

Things that happened: Well, not too many except that I'm seeing way too little activity on that House list of ours! Go and fix that... I know you're still out there, so don't stop talking just becaujse we had that split.

Medals...

First of all the awards for "Doubtful Times":

1st - DA Arania Lawakiro with the longest poem I've ever seen in my DB career. Okay, it was based on Poe, but it was still an absolute highlight. This could have won a GJW...

2nd - ACO Dar en Kendrath... wait a second, did I say "ACO" ??? This guy writes better than most KAPs!

3rd - joint for PRT Xehr and KP Dalthid. Both excellent works, too...

Oh... and then some HM Pyralis thought my P:HM work was worth a Grand Cross. His choice.

Personnel changes:

We lost NOV Knight (this was a misregistration) and gained DJK Shadow. I encourage you all to personally contact Shadow, this is an Aleeman of (very!) old. Maybe you can share a story or three from the old or the new times with each other.

Competitions:

Both Phyles still have events going, won't copy/paste the Phyle reports here. Good work, TETs - and please after judging I'd like to see the first place works.

At House level, we have Dalthid's diary competition (you'd better do that one because it's just cool!):

Start: ASAP!

End: 30 Apr 03

Mechanics: Write a "log", "journal entry" or "diary input" (whatever you want to call it) depicting a day in the life of your character. It can be in the guise of the current events between the EH and DB, or it can be something completely unrelated. The "mood" is up to you - the "vernacular" is up to you. There is a "no holds barred" on language should you decide that you need expletives. There is a catch though...you ready? Your entry must be written in the 1st person! (i.e. - "I" did this or "I" did that).

Awards: 1st; Cr-1S/2nd; Cr-1E/3rd; Cr-1T

Format: Prose. Min 1 page. 10-12 pt Arial or TNR font.

So far, seven events are on the calendar, but I expect the final tally to be around 30, so you'll definitely find something to do! Right now, only AED+ can do stuff (as we're in the "create events" phase), but from next Sunday, it is your turn to jump right in!

With this, the DB will sure be active over the next month - and EVERY Aleeman should have a good shot at a top Crescent... So get at it! The times are ripe for Aleema to show who we are! (Oh, and take a favorable look at events #1 and #6 :-P)
