AWOL checks are over and 90% checked in. Excellent work, people! Those who didn't are busy elsewhere and they've been given amnesty for the time being. Deadline for those who didn't respond is the 15th of May. Please, PLEASE, check in ASAP. Resident pyschopath Bograt has been promoted to Acolyte. Very cool, dude - this will be the first of many no doubt.

-House/Clan News-

Rollmaster position is up for grabs. Those who are GRD or higher should give it a shot, as it's pretty handy to do. For those who don't know, rollmasters are the welcoming committee for the House and IS NOT a command position. The "New Home, New Beginning" competition is still going and ends this Sunday. Get your entries in quickly if you want a medal, as they're apparently handing them out in the buckets for even participating, let alone winning!

On a side note, the newly-formed Chamber of Justice; headed up by Justicar Cantor, is taking down it's first victim, Knight Cannabisia. I think everyone knows what he's in for and let me make a PERSONAL opinion and say - he deserves it. BIG TIME. We may not get on with the EH, but that s*it just ain't worth it.

-Competitions-

As I mentioned earlier, the NH-NB comp is up until Sunday. Get in fast.

Since the AWOL Check is over and done with, I'm starting off Phyle Topics today and running them until the 7th of June. You've got plenty of time to participate in at least one of them. Medals haven't been decided upon yet as I have to register it with the DGM. Once I have, you'll hear about on the E-List. OK, here they are:

HoloNet TV Spot - Imagine that Clan Arcona wants to advertise on the HoloNet's TV channels. Write a script on House Qel-Droma and moreover, the Dark Orb Phyle. Make it as cheesy and funny as you possibly can. Use as much or as little detail as you like. There's no limit on pages.

The Purity Of Anger - A little poetry's never done any harm; write about a time when you've been angry like never before. It could be when another Jedi challenged you, or perhaps when the EH bet us down over the Split - any topic you want; just focus it on how angry you were. Again, no limit on pages.

Cantina Crawl - Since the Split, the DB has signed alliances with various factions in the universe, namely Star Vipers and Rebel Squadrons. This means we've got free use of their facilities, and more to the point, their cantinas! Write a short story on the Phyle's first visit to either of their cantinas; again, humour is a plus - but if you want it to be serious, go for it. 3-4 pages is the max. (I've a thing for t'bac & Commenor brandy - Star Vipers' cantina has barrels of Commmenor brandy, as I'm told.)

Dark Orb: Best Of The Beasts - any GFXers out there?! If so, this one's for you. I'd like to get a picture of the lot of us in battle or in pose. I'm prepared to be VERY generous with medals if you can rustle something up on this topic, as I hope to put into the Dark Orb site.
