Dark dudes and dudettes,

No reports from the QUA's as yet, so we've got a bumper CON report with everything you need to know in it. Grrrrr. It's my own fault anyway for not announcing this to them: QUA's - get your reports to me on Friday so that I can get them in my report on Saturday. If this is going to be a problem, then let me know and I'll work around it.

Check out the competition section below for news on all sorts, such as the Inter Club Training nights and Independence Games, and the all-new-and-improved CSP system! There is no way on God's Green Earth that there isn't enough for you to do, but if you happen to be the epitome of cyber-geekiness and want something else to do, send me an email and I'll sort something out. Let's see… what other crap should I be putting in here…

The Deputy Grand Master has released the DB Vision and Mission Statements. He wrote them up then passed them round the DC and CON's to get their thoughts and some changes have been made, but if you think that there is something else that could be different, then let ME know, and I'll compile an email to Jac and see what he thinks. I'm not trying to steal your ideas by having your comments sent to me, but if Jac gets 100 emails from members who think something should be changed then he'll loose something somewhere. Anywho, I think it's kinda good, so please take the time to read through it as it affects you and how the club is run for your benefit.

Oh yeah. I gave the new QUA's a whole two weeks to get a first-draft website up for their Houses, and that deadline is next week, so I should be able to announce those in my report next week. The CSP website hit two snags this week.

1. I was away for most of the week in the beautiful city that is Prague. If you get the chance to go, do it. It's great and very cheap.

2. I'm really crap at web-design! :P Hopefully I'll finish it on Monday or Tuesday and then all I need is somewhere to put it. Expect an announcement sometime early next week for that.

IRC: should you not have an IRC program, let me know and I will tell you how to download it and install it and then run it so that you can speak to the rest of us happy little cyber-geeks. Due to Ronin decreeing that no DB members are allowed in EH channels #Scholae is now being used by us. Until I can work out how to get X in there it's just something that is created. But I am working on the X thing… Please see the MB's for the poll as to what we will be calling the channel. Even though we are not allowed in #CSP, we are to actively encourage CSP members from both sides of the split to come into #Scholae. In no ways do I want relationships to deteriorate just because Ronin doesn't want to talk to us any more.

Competitions:

Independence games - VERY Important:

This series of competitions is now underway. Loads of competitions that are geared towards being fun, fun, fun, and there are some very intriguing ones in there, such as write a story using a set number of letter 'e's, JK2 kicking contest, and speed trials in XWA I think, rather than the normal shooty dodgy thing you Sithites do so well. And as well as all those there's my Caption Competition that only Lorad Desmos from CSP has done. Boo! Go get doing those comps!! (Especially mine :P ) Not only do you contribute to your own personal tally of points when you take part, but you also add to the overall House and Clan scores too. Isn't that good.

Clan Systems change - VERY Important:

It appears that the whole planet/star systems things that listed CSP's planets and moons and all that crap was the property of someone in the EH, which means we can't use it. To that end, we have to come up with our own CSP system, including the name of the sun and planets, and all the other technical crap like, this planet is mostly water, yadda yadda yadda. It'd be nice if we could have some jpg's or something to show the system and try and put as much info in there as we can. What I'll do is send an email about this competition specifically asking for volunteers. And stuff.

I can see another competition stemming from this one, and if not a competition, a series of projects for willing volunteers… anywho, look out for an email about this specifically…

Inter-Club Training Event - Cool!

How cool will this be? **Cooch dusts off his copy of JK2 in preparation…

Mav has organised a training event which should become a regular event. Part of this will be the clubs we have allied with, the Star Vipers and the Rebel Squadrons being the main ones, but there are a few others too. What is going to happen is that on Saturday May 17th at 4pm EST (think that's 9pm GMT) in Undernet channel #Outerrim there will be loads of other people waiting to take part in every multiplayer Star Wars game you can think of. Motto competition

Well, we are outside the reign of the EH now, and so things are going to be done differently. That means democratically. Rather than me imposing the motto that I think should win on people I'm opening it up for people to vote on. Please check the CSP MB for details of all the mottos received. If you want any other's listed then you'd better get them in quick or post them on the MB as well.

Krath Monthly Topics:

Even through they are Krath MT's, you Sithies and Obbies can do them too, and it would be good to see you do them. This months topic for the fiction is "Divided Loyalty", and is to be sent to [Log in to view e-mail addresses] . Wonder where the inspiration for that came from… :P This month's poetry is to be titled "Virtue" and is to be sent to [Log in to view e-mail addresses].

Fight Nights!

A series of JK competition nights have been worked out by the Shadow dude, full details on the DJB.org news page so it's easier for you to read it from there instead of my adding it here. The best way to get into a fight (apart from stealing my alcamahol supplies) is to sit in the Obelisk channel on IRC (funnily called #Obelisk) and shout at people until they fight you.
