Today it is my honor to present the newest Councilor of Urr:

COU's clan title, "Councillor of Urr" is awarded by vote of the existing councilors. The Councillors of Urr wiki page describes the title as

The Councillors of Urr are the paragons of Clan Odan-Urr. They are all prominent members of the Clan whose influence has shaped and defined its very existence. These individuals hold great responsibility and great influence with the Clan, shaping its course and indeed its very future through their wisdom.

Few live up to those words as well as Revak does. I will try not to repeat the recommendation given on behalf of the current councillors but having worked with him back in the day as battleteam leaders and getting to see firsthand all the work he does behind the scenes to build COU into a thriving and welcoming community I can safely say the title is well-earned. His calm, lighthearted style of leadership is combined with a rock-solid reliability. He is a shining example for all members of our community, myself included. Congrats boss!

A statement on behalf of the Councillors of Urr

Revak Kur is a name known around Odan-Urr for some time, going back all the way to Strike-Team Ooroo. I first met him back in 2019, where he loves to tell a story about how he was relaxing on a boat when I nagged him to put in a Quaestor application. Since then, it's been my absolute pleasure and honor to work alongside him to help improve Odan-Urr. His work ethic, determination, and reliability are exemplary. Lots of people talk but when it's time to put words to action Revak has never let me down. Even when there were plenty of real-life excuses he could have used. This applied to both the small things, such as report timeliness, and the big ones.

He first served as my Quaestor, where he was critical to the success of House Sunrider and more generally helping build a solid foundation for the Clan moving forward. His maturity and industriousness was wonderful. Then he served as my Proconsul, where he made his mark on the Clan through a Clan vs Clan Vendetta, overhauling reporting systems, survival guides, community events, etc... In addition, he mentored 2 students to Knight, one of which is the current rollmaster!

His community events demand special attention. After we organized official community events to gather our members together, we always asked for volunteers to sacrifice their time and energy, after what has probably already been a busy week, to get members together. Revak Kur, who had a full time DB job throughout this initiative, is one of our most prolific hosters. Even as Consul, he still hosts plenty of community events. He also attends the vast majority of community events he does not host. To some, this may not seem extraordinary, but in all my time in the club I’ve noticed that the rarest member is the one who regularly volunteers their hours to bond with others on a deeper level, even if they don’t know them yet. This is the magic that keeps our Clans and club moving forward, but also the hardest to reliably get. Revak Kur always shows up and is always there for you.

In summary, Revak Kur has established himself as a leader, implemented lasting impacts on the Clan, and made an impact on the hearts and minds of our members as a community leader. I am proud to call him a fellow Urr.
