Ad Vizsla: A Leader Shows the Way
A Leader Shows the Way

The metal door of the office slid open, revealing the Barabel/Feeorin hybrid as he stepped through. The area was spacious enough for even an individual of his large size to not feel cramped, several chairs and even a couch across from a large desk with a comfortable chair behind it, but the air of the space gave off an entirely different contrast.
Looking at the Human who sat in said chair, whose green eyes were focused on the several datapads in front of him and scanning from one to another, the warrior found it lightly entertaining how he had needed to confront two work-drowned individuals in a row before he cleared his throat.
“Keeping busy?” was a simple and painfully obvious inquiry, one that Kindle knew the answer to better than most, but couldn’t resist asking with a grin across his face.
The Consul’s eyes glanced up to the red-scaled humanoid for a second before diverting back down. “I’m sure that you’ve been taught the Sith tradition of killing your superior as a rite of passage to prove superiority and all that nonsense?"
Singean tilted his head at the mention, but gave a nod as he moved to sit across from Lontra. “More about the philosophy of it than first-hand experience, but yeah, why?”
“If you’d like to partake in it right about now, I’d thank you for it.”
A snort escaped the Hybrid before shaking his head. “Even ignoring the grey areas of our circumstances, I think the politics of such an act would result in more negative than positive.”
Sighing, the Jedi leaned back in his seat, rubbing his face with his hands. “What’s the point in having a Sith Proconsul if I can’t request such a simple favor?”
“You are allowed breaks, you don’t have to get yourself killed for one ya know?”
“Maybe so, but it certainly feels like the easier option.” mused Boglach as he picked up one of the pads to continue browsing it. “New hires, making sure reassignments are going through, checking on confirmed hunts, incoming information on the new stations and combing over those details with you and the others, updates on the Fero situation, I love doing the work, most of it anyways, but, well, you know how it is.”
“Constant is how it is, but that’s inevitable with the amount of people we’re responsible for. That’s why taking a few breaks is a necessary thing, rather than working yourself to the bone hoping for some dream scenario where nothing needs your attention. Isn’t that a Jedi tradition, maintaining balance and all that nonsense?” fired back Kindle with a smirk.
A dull look was the only response from the Consul for a moment before he rolled his eyes and put the pad back on the desk. “Touche, but there are a couple of things here that simply can’t wait unfortunately, and that’s something you should know all too well. Don’t you have your own projects you’re working on, that squadron proposal I told you to detail out a bit more, among others?”
“I do, but unfortunately something more important came up that I’m in the middle of handling. Besides, I know you’ve been working yourself plenty hard lately, and not just for the Clan. Alongside the new Battle Teams, Fero, and working on finalizing a few updates to our organizations, apparently you’ve been tossing out odd jobs across the whole Brotherhood and monitoring their progress as well.”
Lontra raised his free hand to start to say something, but Kindle waved his own quick enough to prevent a full interruption.
“Not a complaint, necessarily, just noting that you’re doing not only things you have to, but things you don’t as well. Now, if it didn’t benefit Vizsla as well, I’d have a few words, but not only is it helping us, but it’s also making us more indispensable to the Brotherhood as a whole. In the, what, barely a full year you’ve been in command, you’ve helped the Clan in not only credit earning, but cementing more of a place in our corner of the galaxy. Vizsla has been pulling in record amounts of credits, both the Mandalorian and Mercenary sides, we played a key part in the battle against the Collective, and we’re making strong headway against Fero while trying to expand our home. You may not exactly be out hunting constantly yourself, but you’re making sure that it’s practically impossible to be bored or have nothing to do within the Clan, and there’s the benefit of the finder’s fee - so even though you’re not the one out there most of the time, you’re still bringing credits to the clan with the reputation increase as an added perk. And that adds up, do you have any idea how much you’ve brought to Vizsla just through that fee alone?” inquired the man with golden eyes.
The Human’s brow furrowed for a moment as he thought about it. As Kindle expected, the man was more concerned with the Clan’s finances far more than his own.
“I’ll save you the headache. More than enough to earn this.”
Leaning forward and reaching his large hand over the desk, he placed an ornate box on the hard wood and pulled it open, displaying a metallic coin with Vizsla’s symbol clearly imprinted on it.
“You’ve done good work, arguably the best kind of work; the kind that gives others the spotlight but still benefits you as well. Any member of Vizsla who pays attention to the jobs that goes out knows to be glad of being a member of this Clan, as much as I’m certain your predecessors are proud to have you as their successor, leading us to such riches as we’ve earned this past year. Hell, we may have opposing views of the Force, but creed and credits have always been something that we agree on. I'm glad to have you in Vizsla too, and I’m proud to induct you as a fellow member of the Ad Vizsla.” stated the Sith with a firm tone.
“Honestly I hadn’t really thought about reaching the title in a good bit. Kind of thing in the back of your head, but the job comes first, ya know?” Lontra rhetorically posed as he reached out and picked up the coin, spinning the shiny disc in his fingers. “Still, can’t tell you how thrilling it is to finally reach it.”
“It’ll be more thrilling once you reach your celebration party.”
The Jedi’s eyes flashed over to the Hybrid’s, who merely smirked in response and gave a shrug. “You know how it is; depending on the person in question, most of Ad Vizsla and the Clan as a whole tends to gather together to celebrate its new inductees, and worse yet, apparently the rumor got spread that the first round is free, so even more than usual are showing up down at the Saga.”
“As much as I would love to, you know this work can’t be put off,” started the Consul, a hand motioning to the various datapads in front of him.
“Which is why I bring you the greatest gift of all - someone else doing your work. Now get out of that seat before I throw you out the door myself.”
Lontra snorted, but the Hybrid was already standing up. Recognizing the seriousness, he followed suit while glancing around the desk.
“...You know what, you got a point. Balance, right? That includes having some fun every now and then,” admitted Lontra, tapping his fingers on a couple of pads very quickly as he moved around the other side of the desk, then making his way towards the door. “Just be sure you do it right.”
“Order something terrible in your name? Got it.”
The Human rolled his eyes before taking one last look at the desk, then turning to Kindle. “Seriously though. Thank you.”
“Go party before I change my mind.”
Nodding and making his way out the door, Lontra tossed out one last comment; “Just don’t get comfortable. The chair’s still mine.”
With the door closing, Singean smirked to himself, but not even a single snarky comment could come to mind fast enough as his eyes glanced down to the datapads before him and the smile vanished even faster than it had appeared. “...Oh, this is why he didn’t put up much of a fight. Orit.”
Congratulations to Raiju!
By the virtue of leading others to credits on top of the work you do yourself, you have earned over 2 million and thus qualified for the Clan Title of Ad Vizsla!
Raiju has been the phenomenal leader of the Mando and Merc Clan for a little over a year now, not only an active member of plenty of competitions for himself, but also supplying literally hundreds of competitions for not only our own members but the entire Club to earn mountains of credits. Honestly, more than just us should be thanking you for the incredible extra work you do supplying multiple containers of competitions on your own.
Nonetheless; thank you for your hard work, your dedication, your time, and your loyalty. Welcome to the Ad Vizsla!
