Our New Proconsul And Title Policy Updates

header

Greetings Taldryanites and visitors from abroad!

It is my honor and pleasure to announce that Celevon Werd’a will be taking over as the new Proconsul of Clan Taldryan! His long history of serving in administrative roles across various areas of the Brotherhood, as well as his personality and charm, made him the obvious choice for the job. Celevon is bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Summit and I’m looking forward to pushing the Clan forward with him! Everyone please give him your congratulations!

Jenni will still be staying on the Summit as a Magistrate and continue to be instrumental in the functioning of the Clan. Thank you again for everything you’ve done and will keep doing, I couldn’t have done it without your help!

We’ll also be opening up the second Magistrate position and begin accepting applications. Our wiki is in desperate need of updates(as I’m sure many Clans’ are) and it’s too much even for a Wiki Wizard like Jenni. This would be an ongoing process with no real deadline, so if a long-term, low stress project like this interests you, reach out to any of the Summit members to get started!
I’ll keep the Magistrate vacancy posted until it is filled.

Recently, all of the Clans were tasked with formalizing the eligibility requirements for earning their respective titles; this is something that Vodo was already actively working on for the Taldrya at the time. While the responsibility for deciding these requirements ultimately falls to the Consul, I worked alongside the rest of the Taldrya to iron out the details. These are the official requirements, as submitted to the DGM:

In order for a member of Clan Taldryan to be eligible for the title of ‘Taldrya’, they must meet each of these requirements.

1. The member must be active within the Clan for 2 or more years consecutively, to ensure that they are loyal to the Clan. If the member serves on the Dark Council, their time will be paused until they return. Likewise, if a member goes Rogue, the time will be paused. Things happen in life that can pull you away from the Brotherhood and we don’t want to punish that. However, transferring to another Clan and returning would completely reset the time and force the member to start over.

2. The member must have earned a minimum of 30,000 XP during that consecutive period, to ensure they are an active and contributing member of the Clan.

3. At least 5,125 of that XP must be earned from a combination of non-site XP or from competitions run, to ensure the member is devoted to seeing the Clan excel by creating opportunities for other members and assisting in projects. To promote taking on a role of mentorship, Scrolls of Mastery and Recruitment trophies earned by the member will reduce that XP total needed by 1,000 each.

4. The member must have received at least 2 Sacramental awards during the consecutive period, to ensure that they are the very best of the Clan.

5. The member must not have ever received any Chamber of Justice convictions, to ensure they are the most upright and respectable of the Clan. Investigations do not preclude the member from earning the title.

You can find a more concise version of these requirements, as well as those of the other Clan titles, here.

That’s all for this one, but we’ll have a full report up before the end of the month with the results from Taldryan Republic: Fallout, some hints about the next Clan event(s) in the pipeline, as well as a little bit of Pro Bowl hype!

Thank you!
