Clan Plagueis: The Pro-Bowl

KSD Transcendent Command Deck

"Lord Ramar, we're approaching orbit of the planet from the coordinates the bounty hunter gave us," Admiral Ranin barked as she walked up beside the Dread Lord. "No other vessels in orbit. We're a bit… out of the way… of normal traffic."

Dracaryis laughed, "We're just within Unknown Space. People don't come out here unless they have to."

"According to the data provided, this planet is called Aliso. From what we're picking up on sensors, my guess is that the view from the surface is beautiful. Shouldn't need any special weather gear," Ranin added.

"General Benzayn will be happy about that," Selika chimed in.

"What about the Undesirables?" Ramar finally broke his silence. The Anzat had been conspiring with his proconsul the entire hyperdrive trip about what was to come. The information they had been provided by Laren was spotty at best, but it was a lead none the less. Teylas was one for practicality, though, and caution was always a warranted method of practicality given how many times Clan Plagueis had lept before really analyzing a situation.

"There are pockets of people clustered together around what appears to be some sort of large complex. There's a spaceport, but it's cluttered with the ships of those pirates I'd like to finish blasting out of the sky," the admiral smirked at her own jest. She added, "There's a spot about a klick west of the complex, and a similar spot to the east, both with a large open field. We could land transports there and head out on foot, but they'd know we were coming for sure."

The consul laughed, "Oh good, a challenge. Hopefully more of a challenge than those Jedi put up on Florrum as they scurried away."

In reality his patience with the do-gooders was thin, mostly because they had put up quite a fight. The Dread Lord was a Sith, but he was also old enough to know not to let the power or arrogance that comes with it to blind him. Age, more than any other trait, had given him a perspective when it comes to the relationship he has with the Dark Side of the Force. His outward confidence was something he projected, but definitely wasn't reflective of some type of inward arrogance; more a service to his leadership to boost confidence within his ranks.

Turning to Selika and Dracaryis he mused, "We should have some fun this time," he began to grin ear to ear.

"Oh here we go…" Selika sighed.

"Selika and I will split the forces of Plagueis. I'll come in from the east, her forces from the west. We'll see who can kill the most pirates, and capture the most slaves alive. It'll be like a little fun game," Teylas was laughing by this point, seemingly unphased by the fact that they'd be murdering pirates and capturing people to be slaves for Plagueian society.

"This should get interesting," Dracaryis surmised assuredly.

Calling All Plagueis Forces: It’s Pro Bowl Time!!!

That’s right, Ladies and Gentlemen! It’s time for the Inaugural Clan Plagueis Pro-Bowl!

This event will pit Consul against Proconsul: Teylas and Slags will pick their teams in a sort of draft.

The Pro-Bowl is a three-week, multi-event competition designed to test each and every member of the Clan. An opening event will determine which of our two leaders will have the first pick in a Draft-style event led by the Rollmaster. The Consul and Proconsul will alternate their selections until the entire roster is split between the two of them.

Once the roster is set, the two teams will battle it out in a series of thirty events spread over the course of three weeks. Events will include the standard fare of Fiction, Graphics, Gaming, and Trivia, along with some less common events designed to help test each member of the Clan.

Upon completion of the final scoring, the team with the highest cumulative score will be declared the winner!

Whose team will be victorious? Will the Dread Lord continue his domination over the forces of Clan Plagueis, or will Selika seize the opportunity to strike in her never-ending quest for power?

Read all the Pro-Bowl fiction updates on the forums.

Scoring:

Each individual will earn five points per event they participate in. Participation is defined a valid submission for an event. Simply signing up for an event or uploading an unqualified submission will not count. You have to put in the effort in order to receive the reward.

Additionally, the top three individuals in each event will earn placement points.

  • 1st place finishes are worth three points
  • 2nd place finishes are worth earn two points
  • 3rd place finishes are worth earn one point

Events will have modifiers based off their perceived difficulty/level of effort required:

  • Fiction Modifier: 3
  • Gaming Modifier: 2
  • Trivia and Puzzle: None

The scoring formula looks like this:

(Placement Score + Event Modifier) + Participation = Event Score

At the end of the competition, the individual scores for all three weeks will be added up, and the top three individuals will earn crescents.
