Ad Vizsla: A Token of Appreciation

A Token of Appreciation
The Proconsul made his way through the Panoptes, thoughts running through his head faster than his feet were moving. Honestly, he was unsure of how to handle the situation given his limited interaction with the woman in question.
A distance away, on Zsoldos, a ceremonial party was being held, but the 'in honor' type. This member of Vizsla was well known for not exactly being the ceremony nor party type, as well as disliking being the center of attention. It felt... not quite disrespectful, but rather not mindful to try and force them to attend one.
While several mutual allies had assured the two that they could trust one another, there was still that gap. Not that anyone could tell for the most part, if nothing else, no one in their right mind could argue Arcia Cortel wasn't professional to a fault.
Eventually he reached the door to what was to be her personal quarters on the ship and stopped in his tracks. He had thought long and hard about how to handle this situation, and he had only come to one solution that seemed viable, though time would tell.
Raising a hand, he knocked on the door.
"Enter," was the simple response.
The moment it slid open, he entered, stepping forward enough for the door to close behind him. It was, as he had previously seen, a plain room for the most part. A few things here and there, but nothing ostentatious. She stood behind her desk, eyes darting between various datapads as she wrote something in another.
"What does the Summit demand that requires a personal visit? Dropping the cloak and waiting for your rendezvous has set us back by days." The Human before him inquired, a quick, cold glance thrown his way that one would almost be unsure of if it actually happened.
"Let us be fair, whatever we ask of you and the crew, we know you'll get it done." The man said with a soft chuckle, dismissing her near insubordinate tone. “And besides, you’re the efficient type. You’ll make up for the lost time quickly.”
"I do what is required of me, nothing less. The rest is a testament to the crew and their capabilities."
The shutdown was expected, Kindle merely nodding.
"Well, you would be surprised how often most fail. You, however, do have a very impressive track record that can't be ignored, and that is the matter I am about here today."
"Another promotion? That easily could have been handled in a holocall."
“Holocall? Would you even answer it?” Kindle responded with an almost curious look, as if he didn’t know the answer all too well.
Arcia didn’t miss a beat. “A datapad message, then.”
"I'd agree with you, except this isn't exactly a promotion and it also comes with a physical object."
The red-scaled warrior stepped forward and held up an ornate coin. For the first time, her eyes moved away from her work. It bore the mark of Vizsla.
"As of today, in recognition of the amount of work you have done for the Clan, you are a member of the Ad Vizsla." stated Kindle.
"I am not a Mandalorian." Arcia replied. It was a tone of dismissal, but carried a weight of respect to the title.
“While this is true, and this honorific may be based in Mandalorian tradition, Ad Vizsla is more than that; it is about loyalty, trust, and capability.”
Kindle looked at the coin itself for a moment, before looking to Arcia again, this time with a firmer conviction to his tone.
"These things are to be commended, and their value cannot be understated. I know that I am arguably new to the Clan, and thus my words don't hold much weight to you beyond my rank. Anything I say is going to sound far too hollow, and I would feel the same way in your position." acknowledged the Proconsul. "However, this honor doesn't come from me. When I took this position, many spoke your name in high regard to the numerous tasks you had done. I agree that doing one's job is a simple task, on paper, but that doesn’t lessen its impact. You are among those who helped make Vizsla who and what we are today, and the high standards of requirements to receive this honor have finally been cleared so we could acknowledge it properly. Don't consider this honor from me, I am simply the messenger, for this is taking into account work and effort that I wasn't even around to witness. Consider this a message of appreciation from all of Vizsla - especially those not in the position to be here instead of me," he ended with a voice of acknowledgement to those who came before.
Green eyes moved to look at golden ones. It was a hard look, but short, as it quickly returned to her datapads.
"You can leave it there," she responded, her tone retaining the same feel of annoyance as she nodded to the edge of the desk. "Now, if there is nothing else, I have work to attend to."
"I'd say keep up the good work, but let's be fair, it doesn't matter what I say." remarked the large Barabel/Feeorin hybrid with a smirk, placing the coin on the desk before he turned away. "And to that I do say - one day I hope to be good enough to earn even get your acknowledgement."
Once the door had slid shut behind him, the quiet had returned to take hold of the room. Minutes passed before a trio of sounds echoed within the chamber - a drawer being opened quickly. A momentary pause. Something being placed within a container, then a slow click of finality as it closed.
