Covenant Amendment: Invisible Dossier

Covenant Amendment: Invisible Dossier

Hello all,

The Electorate convened to discuss a proposed amendment to the Covenant. The Electorate discussed a proposal to remove the current wording from the Covenant referencing that a member may request an invisible state for their dossier. This proposal was brought on by James pointing out the the current site infrastructure doesn't allow for dossiers to be set to an "invisible" state. A dossier either exists or has been deleted. Two states only.

A vote was called consisting of 16 members of the Electorate, as the sitting Fist doesn't currently qualify to vote. The vote was a unanimous 16-0 in favor of the amendment. As such, the Covenant has been updated as below. The "Current" preview shows a strikethrough for the removed text.

Current Covenant: Section 2.02

(a) Overview – A member who has chosen to discontinue his membership in the Brotherhood may have their dossier permanently removed from the website. Alternatively, if the member desires to retain his dossier but wishes to be moved to an inactive roster, the member can request to be moved to the Rogue member roster. Rogue member accounts will be maintained and may be used at any time. Further, a member may request that his dossier be set to invisible status without removing the dossier, which status prevents the dossier from being viewed by the public.

You can find the revised section 2.02(a) on the Covenant page of the wiki.

I'm happy to answer any questions about this amendment, if any should exist.

I'm invisible

I'm staring at you right now, Dacien.

You must mean invincible, not invisible.

Proof that when James CAN'T do something, it requires a Covenant Amendment.

I'm very much invisible, see, nobody can see me.

Ahh, when the developper explains to the business side of things why something can't be done and they listen. I remember a business analyst asking one of our developpers very earnestly why everyone he asked seemed to think he was an idiot for wanting to add a 3rd option to a boolean query...
