I have recently been informed that Constantine, our Battleteam Leader for the recently-revived Battleteam Spectre Cell — which replaced BT Nighthawk — will be retiring from his post by the end of the month. While this comes as a surprise, you all know as well as I do that real life takes priority over anything in this club.

That said, applications for the position of Battleteam Leader of Spectre Cell are now open. Applications should be e-mailed to me ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]) and the AED, Skar ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]). A PDF, MS Word, or e-mail text box application will be accepted. Do not send a GDoc link; it won’t be opened. It is heavily suggested you do some homework on what you're getting into, so I've linked the Spectre Cell wiki article here, though it has yet to be updated. I likewise recommend making sure you have a quality app that stands out: get it proofed, hit all the points, and add some of your own flavor.

Required Elements

• DJB History - Tell me about your leadership experiences and stand-out project work (if any).
• Activity - What can I expect in competitions (participated & created) and communication from you?
• Strengths/Weaknesses - Be up front and tell me where you excel and where you struggle in leadership, interpersonal commo, etc.
• Plans - What, if any, ideas do you have coming into Spectre Cell? And Galeres (if you're not already here)? Give a plan of action for any you present.
• 24-hour or less communication turn-around time (Telegram and e-mail)

Desired Elements

• Shadow Academy Leadership coursework passed (or the MVL completed)
• An understanding of Markdown (the SA has a course for this too)
• A strong grasp of the (written) English language
• Any additional credentials that support your DJB side of the application
• Any up front questions you may have

All apps are due by Sunday, 25 March 2018. Constantine will hold down the fort until then, at which time we will have a transition period between the old and new BTLs. I look forward to reading your applications. Let the games begin, and may the odds be forever in your favor.
