Hi all,

Ciara approached me earlier this month and discussed the end of her term as Headmaster, I want to first thank her for all her hard work over the past two years in the role. She has been a consistent leader in her position and every conversation I've had with her has been productive and great. Please take the time to thank her for her time in the role as she wraps things up during this application period and retains the role while Bubba and I pick her successor. I hope our paths cross again, as they have for years now.

With the above in mind, the application period for Headmaster starts now and will close on Friday, September 16th. If you are interested and that deadline is an issue, please reach out to discuss it, though given it's 3 weeks I don't anticipate any concerns on time.

Applications must be sent via email to the Grand Master (myself) and Deputy Grand Master (Dacien/Bubba). Though we will discuss with others potentially on the DC to make a final decision.

Application suggestions & Requirements

• Experience working within the Shadow Academy or as a Docent or Professor helps
• Review an overview of the position on the wiki.
• Position sits on the DC, so demonstrated ability to work on a leadership team helps also
• Understanding that the SA has a rather large staff, and managing that staff is important
• Open to any ideas on how the SA can be improved to better serve the community
• No rank requirement, but as rank often is reflective of experience focus on the experience

A few topics to discuss in the application to help show your vision

• Trivia has been added specifically under HM, discuss how you think it's working and what role Trivia can have in our community
• Discord isn't necessarily new anymore, but the HM is tasked to welcome and greet new members and manage the member experience for those who show up. Thoughts on how that's going and any changes there.
• Bubba and I see HM as a role that turns newly joined NV1 into JM1, up the very first parts of the learning curve. So after they sign up but until they reach JM1 meaning they've done a few things. Discuss that member experience and how the SA can better serve new members as a tutorial of our community of sorts.
