Greetings everyone,

Today, I am excited to officially announce the launch of Great Jedi War XVII: Animus!

Animus: a deeply rooted feeling of hostility, prejudice, or malicious intent.

This Great Jedi War represents the culmination of years of storytelling, worldbuilding, and conflict throughout the Brotherhood. Threads established across previous Great Jedi Wars, Rite of Supremacy events, and our most recent season, Parabellum, have all led to this moment.

Now, the Brotherhood stands united for one final campaign against Rath Oligard and the overwhelming power of the Collective.

As the war begins, members will be deployed to the dangerous Cor’neria System, the stronghold and heartland of the formidable Collective. There, the Brotherhood will attempt to halt the plans of the increasingly unstable and fanatical Rath Oligard before his ambitions spiral beyond anyone’s control.

GJW XVII: Animus Timeline

The Great Jedi War is scheduled to run for approximately five weeks and will be divided into multiple phases designed to balance competition, participation, and pacing throughout the event.

The war will consist of two primary competitive phases, each lasting two weeks, alongside a separate Event Long phase that will run for the duration of the event. Between the two main phases, there will be a short rest period intended to give members time to catch up on Event Long competitions, recover from the first sprint, and prepare for the final stretch of the war.

The current event schedule is as follows:

• Event Long: May 23rd - June 27th
• Phase 1: May 23rd - June 6th (14 days)
• “Rest” Period: June 7th - June 12th (6 days)
• Phase 2: June 13th - June 27th (14 days)

Rewards

In addition to Hero titles for the top three scoring members and the usual novae and credits, dossier art will be awarded based on the Herald Vendetta Dossier Skin Guidelines:

• 1st Place Clan: Robe & Weapon
• 2nd Place Clan: Robe
• 3rd Place Clan: Weapon

And all participants will receive one Seal of Animosity per competition participated in.

Additionally, like in previous wars, Clans will be granted Clan Fleet Upgrades from a pool of available upgrades.

AI-Generated Content Policy *

As a reminder, AI-generated competition submissions are not permitted during Great Jedi War XVII: Animus unless a competition explicitly states otherwise.

All submissions are expected to represent a member’s own original work and effort. This includes, but is not limited to, fiction writing, graphics, audio, coding, and any other creative or competitive content submitted as part of the event.

The use of generative AI tools to create or substantially produce competition entries is prohibited. Members may not submit content created primarily by artificial intelligence systems, including text, artwork, or other media generated through AI platforms.

Any submission found to violate this policy may be disqualified from the competition and may be subject to additional review or disciplinary action in accordance with Brotherhood policy.

We encourage all participants to focus on creativity, effort, and fair competition as we head into the Great Jedi War.
