With the ascension of our new Equine Overlord to Arconan Proconsul, Shadow Gate's beloved Gatewarden has stepped up to Aedile in her stead. In light of this, and of existant plans to open a second team, House Qel-Droma is currently looking to hire two slaves Battleteam Leaders.

Rather than having members apply specifically for the current or the new team's Leadership role, we'll be accepting applications for either (or both). In other words, you can feel free to include evaluations of Shadows Gate's strengths and weaknesses if you'd like - and doing so certainly won't hurt you - but we're more likely to look at the personalities evolved in each unit and decide, based on that, where the top applicants fit.

Note: While we do have some ideas of what this new team will look like thematically, we will want someone creative who can help the team blossom fictionally and leave their mark on Arcona. Examples of worldbuilding would not be amiss.

What You Should Include In Your Application

• A bit about yourself - personality is paramount
• What do you feel makes you the best candidate?
• Why do you even want to be Battleteam Leader? Seriously, you'd have to work for me. Are you crazy?
• Ideas on how to generate and sustain activity within a team. We'd like to see how you would try to address things if you get the position, how you plan, initiatives you would take, etc.

Required Qualifications

• Less than 24 hour email turn-around
• Rank of JM2 or higher
• Good communication skills

Desired Qualifications

• Having taken (and passed) the Shadow Academy's Leadership courses will be looked upon favorably
• Strong Telegram Presence and Google Hangout access
  • We use Telegram for daily communication and hold regular meetings over Hangout
• Basic familiarity with most of the DB's systems (Shadow Academy, ACC, Gaming, etc.)

Helpful Tips When Applying

• Knowing yourself is a good thing. Tell us about what you can bring to the summit and where you could improve.
• Know the difference between a goal and a plan. "I want to increase fiction activity" is a goal. "I will host bi-weekly fiction workshops to develop our writers" is a plan. Too often applications are full of lofty goals with almost nothing in concrete plans on how to achieve those goals.
• Be honest! If you have rough spots in your history or community reputation, you should probably address those. We will look into how an applicant is viewed in their respective community. Also, our Summit has and will always have strong personalities within it. You need to be able to stand your ground and show why your opinion is valid.
