Magistrate Positions Open

After some long and careful consideration, I have decided to end the terms of the rotating Magistrates, A’lora and Nemo, the two incumbent M:RGTs a month earlier than originally planned.

I’d like to begin by thanking both of them for all their hard work. Joining the Regent’s staff can be tricky. It involves retraining your brain to think in terms of the RGT Policies. Both of these staff members did a great job adjusting to that difficult change. I will be forever grateful for all their effort. Thank you both from the bottom of my heart. If you see either of them around, please thank them for all their hard work!

With their departure from their positions, I have elected to open up the current Magistrate positions to the public. Both Nemo and A’lora will be eligible to re-apply if they so choose. However, for the rest of you, this is a great opportunity to get involved in a Councilor Staff position.

Before we go any further, I am making some slight changes to the goals for these roles. In the past, the Regent’s staff has had an “all hands” mentality. Every team member was expected to be involved in things across the board. This approach is feasible for seasoned staff members, but with newer staff it proves challenging for them and challenging for me to manage appropriately. So, I’m aiming to narrow the scope of what these floating Magistrate positions do. My hope is that this will help with onboarding new team members, give focus and direction to those team members, help focus and push forward on some key agenda items and clearly define the entire team's responsibilities.

So, Going forward the rotating Magistrate positions will be broken down into the following roles:

  • Research Magistrate - This role will be responsible for 1) Responding to Regent Staff Queue submissions 2) Deep diving into projects and boosters to provide prototype ideas. 3) Sourcing relevant art work for ongoing projects 4) Contribute to ongoing projects when all other goals are met.
  • Admin Magistrate - This role will be responsible for 1) Responding to Regent Staff Queue Submissions 2) Assisting in re-writing, updating, and maintaining RGT Staff Policies and relevant Wiki Articles 3) Quality of Life updates, updating existing prototype spelling and formatting, etc. 4) Contribute to ongoing projects when all other goals are met.

With that said, if you are interested in joining the Regent Staff, Please consider submitting an application HERE

Complete the form, provide me with some insight as to why you’re the best choice for the role.

Applications will remain open until 12/13/2025.

Important Crafting Note

Over the last few weeks, we’ve noticed a bit of confusion regarding selling Crafting Materials. I’ll admit, it is not easy to see how you sell those items. So, I wanted to make this information public for anyone who may need it.

To purchase crafting items, follow the normal means. Go to the store and buy what you need.

Now, say you made a whoopsie and bought too many of the needed crafting material items. Now you need to sell them. Or, maybe you wanna switch things up…

Follow this process for selling crafting items:

1) Go to your possessions page, from the Admin screen.

2) Click the Sorting Funnel

3) Check the Crafting Box, then hit search

4) Locate the Item and hit Sell!

Hope that helps! We are looking for a more elegant way to do this. In the meantime, I felt it was important to make a post about it.
