All content submitted to or hosted on the DJB website is subject to our Website Content Policy, which is enforced by the Council and allows us to maintain some fairly loose content guidelines for the club while still permitting our members to express themselves as permitted by the Covenant. After some discussion, and in coordination with the Chamber of Justice, I have decided to update the policy to make clear that graphic sexual content, sexual content involving a minor (below the age of 18), and non-consensual sexual content are not acceptable in any form on this site--including on the Wiki, in competition submissions, on member dossiers, etc. The updated policy is effective immediately.
As in the past, we will enforce the policy with a preference for revising affected content and will only remove content when absolutely necessary. Similarly, running afoul of the policy will not result in referral to the CoJ except in extreme cases. The goal here is simply to put members on notice that not everything belongs on our website and to ensure a safe experience for all of our members.
Finally, note that while this policy does not apply to our Discord server, our Chat Policies and the Covenant do, and the sexual content prohibited by the new Website Content policy is also inappropriate on Discord.

A question was raised on Discord: "What about consenting minors?"
Response: Minors under the age of 18 having explicit sexual acts described in a story or art would not be permitted under this policy. Underage characters can be romantic and it [sexual acts] can be alluded to but should not be described in detail.
e.g., Attack of the Clones you see them [Anakin and Padme] flirting and then it cuts to the next morning.
For the sake of clarity, unchecking the "public submission" option doesn't make the material exempt. This applies to anything hosted on the site (because public or not, we're liable for anything we host).
Use the movies as a barometer of what's okay. We all know Anakin killed the younglings. We didn't see it happen though.
Kind of wild to only apply it to sexual acts and not graphic violent acts.
It does not only apply to sexual content. The policy covers anything that is "inappropriate for the Star Wars setting and/or for the consumption of our minor members" just like it has for the last six years.
Except by the words specifically said is that it covers graphic sexual acts, not graphic violent acts. If the idea is to prevent impressionable members from being affected or triggered, not having specific borders on what isn't allowed which should include graphic violent acts especially of minors only allows wiggle room for offenders. I've been here long enough for the rules to always be emphasized in 'vibes' or to be not detailed enough that it leaves question. The statement of "use the movies as a barometer of what is okay" doesn't just mean sexual or even violence by that. Via the media that has already been published, various relationships that are not humanoid or are familial in nature are then on the table. At the end of it, be consistent and name the specific things you do not want as a hardline. Anyone who plays TTRPG will tell you that this is a standard to set.
The club is PG-13. This is an established guideline. This is policy supporting that. This is good policy. If you wanna write smut, there are other websites for that.
