Fiction: Plot Update

The Dark Jedi Brotherhood Plot Update can be found here: Read Me!. I have decided to package all of the updates in this format to avoid giant walls of text on the news page. This format will also allows us to collect and store all fiction updates moving forward. I'm in the process of filling this folder with the past year of fiction.

This fiction update is 10 pages long. TLDR:
* The Order Archetypes go on a field trip. These sections are important. * Dantella Novae is back and using her powers to help the DJB.

Dantella Novae was a high level NPC first introduced in the Dark Crusade prologue. She has reemerged and her intelligence dossier has been uploaded into the Dark Brotherhood database: Novae - Dossier

Fiction: Okemi Update

Slagar has accomplished a herculean task and updated the Okemi wiki article. This task was made exceptionally difficult by my random direction, hazy guidance, and conflicting emails.

Fiction: The Anatomy of a Fiction Update

Question: Is there an overall plan for the DJB story?

Answer: Fiction Updates are written in serials that are based on an overarching outline that encompasses the Dark Brotherhood story. We have mapped out the DJB's story line leading up to and including the next Great Jedi War.

Question: How do you select the members highlighted in fiction?

Answer: Members are selected based on their activity, contribution towards our club, and for their diversity. I attempt to pick members of our club who are participating in events, positive influences on the club, and work hard to make the Dark Brotherhood a better place. We also like to use event winners in the fiction to highlight their efforts. I will ask Clan/House leaders for suggestions in the event I'm overlooking a Bad Ass Member deserving of attention. Brimstone is an example of a member who participated in our club from his phone for years. That guy gets highlighted because he put forth the effort.

Question: Do you kill people without asking or write characters without permission?

Answer: Every character killed in our fiction has volunteered to become one with the Force. Amazingly, there is not a shortage of members willing to die and move on to another character. I appreciate that, because I like killing you.

Question: Are members contacted when their character is in fiction?

Answer: I contact members prior to using their character 90% of the time. I may not contact you if you are making a very brief appearance (Yacks, Bubba in this fiction).

I do contact every character that is highlighted in the fiction. I ask that member about their character's motivation, background, and then review their wiki/character sheets. I take every effort to write a character in the manner their member wants them written. This includes providing the member a draft copy of their character's appearance prior to the fiction's release.

Take every opportunity to enjoy the social aspects of gaming, hanging out, and being a contributing member of the Dark Brotherhood.

It is pretty fun and probably the reason you joined an online club.
