Battllefront Season Pass and Application Deadline

It appears that my news post was a few hours too early. A couple more announcements need to be made.

Battlefront Season Pass

Battlefront announced today that a Season Pass will be released for Star Wars Battlefront. It will cost about $50 (USD). If you know you want to purchase this you can pre-order/purchase the Star Wars Battlefront Ultimate Edition which includes the Deluxe Edition of the game and the season pass. No price has been announced for this yet, but the Deluxe Edition is currently $70 (USD). There aren't a lot of details about the season pass, except it will include 4 expansion packs with 2 week early access to these packs. You'll get an exclusive emote. It would seem that if you want the entirety of Battlefront that it will cost around $110-$120 (USD). While this can be upsetting for some and DLCs are meant to be optional if you truly plan on spending a lot of time playing this game it's probably worth it. It's entirely up to you though. I hope to upgrade my pre-order from Deluxe to Ultimate soon.

UPDATE: There were also new modes that was revealed today that will be in the base game. The first is called Hero Hunt. Players will start out as a Hero or Villain while other players hunt them down. It will be 7v1 and when you kill them you take their place. Cargo is the next mode and it will be Battlefront's version of Capture the Flag. Droid Run is the third mode. You will be attempting to capture and maintain control of elusive droids in a 6v6 match.

Application Deadline

Earlier today applications were opened for 2 magistrate positions in the FIST Office. No deadline was mentioned, but to clear things up applications are due no later than the 20th and we reserve the right to close applications early if we feel we've found our 2 candidates.

$100+ for a game? Damn.

Thats base price for a game in Australia depending on the game and where you shop for it. If the season pass is $50 US i'll more than likely end up having to pay over $70 AUS for it.

I've always viewed game pricing as such: I am without question willing to spend $20 to see a 2 hour movie. Thus, spending $100 on a game only needs to hit, at minimum, 10 hrs of entertainment. Battlefront will undoubtedly be more than 10 hours.

That said, pre-ordering games is silly and the reason things get released unfinished. So I'll wait to check out the DLC first in the same way I will not spend $20 to see any random movie six months from now.
