Set 25 Release
The SW:CCG Player's Committee has released Set 25. Click here to view the PDF for all the updates that have been made. As a refresher for new members, the DB:CCG is built off of the SW:CCG Player's Committee version of the game. As such, when major releases are made to the primary game I pull those updates into our unique DB:CCG version of the game.
A New Card Style
With the creation of DB:CCG I have the ability to create new graphics for the card images. You've seen examples of this within the SW:CCG's Player Committee. Such as an Alternate Image of Balanced Attack & Darklighter Spin which is a .GIF or [What Chance Do We Have?}(https://res.starwarsccg.org/cards/VirtualAlternateImage-Light/hires/whatchancedowehave_ai.png) which makes an effect horizon versus vertical.
In that vein I've created the gold character card as a mean of recognizing significant and impactful members of the Brotherhood community. The first individual to receive this recognition is Grand Master Declan Roark and his characters.
This is a visual way to have Declan (Sarin)'s cards stand out amongst the other cards within the game. There is no change to the game mechanic for these cards beyond the visual change.
A Better Tomorrow
You'll notice there's been a few new cards released for the next Clan Odan-Urr DB:CCG set, A Better Tomorrow. With the summer activities I've had less time to code cards and with the start of school activities I am going to make a soft pivot to spending some time and energy getting more people to play the game versus solely building the cards.
You'll see some community events and competitions arise to help encourage and support individuals engaging with this unique Dark Brotherhood gaming experience. Below are unique member cards that have been released with the latest update.
These are all live now for you to insert into your decks.
I Want A Card!
By now, hopefully, you're well invested in the desire to play this wholly unique gaming experience that puts YOU in the middle of the action. You don't have to wait for the next set to come around to your specific Clan.
You can request a card to be created of yourself or your alternative character!!
Within the Admin section of the Brotherhood site navigate to Profile and Custom Graphics -> Request Custom Graphics -> Create Graphics Request -> CCG Cards
From here you can provide your suggested Card Title, Lore (e.g., the information at the top of the card), your preferred image, which side (Dark or Light) and general comments.
These cards will then be designed for inclusion in the next set of DB:CCG. Bringing YOU into the action!
What's Next?
Competitions, Community Events, and more. There is a DB:CCG thread on Discord located under the gaming-chat channel. I post infrequently to this location while building cards, discussing the game, or engaging with new members who have an interest.
This is also where I post when custom requested cards are completed. Currently 16 members are following this thread and I look forward to seeing more join in the discussion.
