Fist Supplemental 11.4: Force Arena Update

On Force Arena

Members of the Dark Brotherhood-

As many of you are aware, the developers of Star Wars: Force Arena recently provided a sizeable update to the game. While plenty of great stuff was added, the developers decided to remove the 2v2 PvO option that the club supports. Because of this, I had to determine what the best way ahead was for the game.

Cutting a Star Wars game (even a mobile one) is something I want to avoid at all costs, because while we support lots of other games (and we should), this is still a Star Wars club.

The guild limitation caused another issue. Force Arena caps guilds at 50 players. While this wasn’t much of a problem for PvO, it made me extremely cautious about adding it as a PvP option. You can’t play PvP against friends unless you are in the guild, and if the guild is at 50 people, you simply can’t be in it at all. That’s not that big of a deal if it’s casual fun-time gaming, but when a GJW comes around and people can’t play one of the few free games we have, it has the potential to cause a lot of problems.

With all that said, the poll in DB Gaming gave me some hope that it’s possible to support 1v1 and never have the guild cap be an issue. So I’m willing to take a chance.

Force Arena Changes

Effective immediately, Star Wars: Force Arena is a 1v1 platform. The 2v2 PvO option has been completely removed.

The Rites of Combat are in full effect. You must queue through the bot, you must follow the rules on number of matches, etc.

Quick points on guild membership requirements: all guild members will be active players only. After 30 days of inactivity, you will be removed from the guild. Prior to the release of this news post, I cleared all members with greater than 30 days of inactivity out. Anyone who was removed is welcome to re-apply. Search for DJB in the Guild search box.

Force Arena information can be found on the Supported Games wiki page.

Thank you for bringing everything in to consideration and the... in my opinion... best possible decision

Thanks Drac

Yus! You the man, Drac!

Glad you kept it! I'll have reapply, I haven't played in a while :(

It's nice to have a mobile app game for those of us that can't sit down other than on the bus! Thanks for keeping it around!
