GJW XVII - DJB Battleship Tournament Sign-Ups
Sign-ups are now open for the GJW XVII - DJB Battleship Tournament hosted by Uji!
This event will feature a 1v1 single-elimination bracket using the DJB Ship client:
Participants will battle through a best-of-three tournament bracket, with winners advancing until a champion is crowned.
Tournament Details
- Format: Single Elimination
- Match Type: Best-of-Three (Bo3)
- Platform: DJB Ship Client
- Round Length: 72 Hours
- Phase: Event Long (meaning the Tournament will start with the GJW and end when all matches are resolved)
Important Participation Requirements
- Players are expected to make contact with their opponent within the first 24 hours of pairings being posted.
- Matches must be completed within 72 hours.
- Scheduling may be coordinated through Discord or Email.
- This is a live, time-sensitive event. Failure to meet activity requirements may result in disqualification.
Reporting Matches
Winners must submit:
- A screenshot of the final result screen
- The final series score (example: 2–1)
Activity & No-Show Rules
If an opponent is unresponsive for 24 hours, contact the organizer immediately. Activity and scheduling effort will be considered when resolving incomplete matches.
If a match is not completed within the allotted 72-hour round window:
- The player who demonstrated greater activity and scheduling effort will advance.
- If both players show insufficient effort, both may be disqualified.
Extensions will only be granted in exceptional circumstances and must be approved before the deadline.
Conduct
All participants are expected to follow the Rites of Combat (RoC). Unsportsmanlike conduct, stalling, or exploitation may result in removal from the tournament.

Will these be standard or tactical matches?
Standard
Will this be the only free to play event for the event long gaming bin or can we also expect a cluster race, flash game, etc?
Eg how hard do we push sign ups
We have always ensured the event log bins contain a cluster race and easy to enter competitions.
As noted in my post concerning specific titles, we are intentionally focusing on F2P and cross platform/mobile accessible options as much as we can while still engaging our core platforms.
I will also note - this tournament will be fast paced and will have strict time requirements to ensure we get through it by the end of the war. If you are not prepared to dedicate the time and effort to it there will be other options available.
I assume you can play as any Clan in the game that you want, right?
