Introducing HuttSpam Gaming

With a sense of historical irony, I've christened a production company for Dacien Vicate (Bubba or SpamG0D) and myself to 'brand' the games we've been developing for The Brotherhood.

Games like Bubba's Battleships and Kamjin's Dark Brotherhood: Customizable Card Game (DB:CCG) would fall under the HuttSpam Gaming realm since we often test and collaborate on games.

Also, it makes both of us laugh cause the logo is just too funny.

The Brotherhood: Duel of Fates

I have created a 32-bit style fighting game in the style of the old Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter II arcade games. I've progressed it far enough to provide a public beta release. Eventually, there will be more fighters and stages to select from.

Choose Your Fighter

Demo 4

You are able to play locally, if you want to play with a friend in real-life, utilizing the Local Duel option or challenge a player online. A player can create a room and provide a code to their friend to join, they can challenge a dossier # directly, or enter the queue to fight the next available player.

Online Gaming

When you're prompted to sign in you can put in any name you desire. However, you must enter your correct dossier # so that the match over screen is correct for you to submit for Clusters of Fire under the Casual Gaming Queue.

Now, what's the point of an arcade fighting game if there's not ranking. See who's doing the best from the main menu. This is another wonderful way to #beatkam!

Ranking

So, you may ask, why a fighting game? I, personally, absolutely love DB:CCG and also recognize that it's got a learning curve and matches take considerable time to complete. A fighting game gives players a fast-paced way to engage with each other and it continues my dream of creating a unique Brotherhood based gaming experience for our members.

In addition, DB:CCG does not function well on mobile devices and we're of an era now where we engage more on mobile than not. As such, this game was designed to function on mobile as well as desktop browsers.

What's Next

You will find competitions soonTM for submitting bug reports for the game. I'll also be working behind the scenes to bring new characters and stages to the game.

I know some of you may ask "I want my character in the game". Before you ask, I am not currently opening up the ability to people to request their characters be added. There's a few reasons for this.

  1. To generate the sprites requires considerable time and individuals must agree that their character's artwork/style/look can be generated via Artificial Intelligence.
  2. There are still quite a few functional items I want to expand up - seasons, achievements, etc. and working with a smaller set of characters allows me to focus on that functionality.
  3. I cannot accommodate everyone who may request to have a character added.

Until next time...FIGHT!
