The EA Press Conference at E3 is scheduled to start at 1600 EST, June 15th. You can view this conference live on Youtube or Twitch

Battlefront Update #1: Will have 40 player modes down to 8 player modes.

Update: Star Wars the Old Republic New Expansion Knights of the Fallen Empire opens October 27, 2015. Will add new campaign, new companions, free to subscribers. Video Link via Kotaku.

SW Galaxy of Heroes

Update: Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes CCG announced for Mobile gaming. More details to come, but it looks like we'll be having another Star Wars alternative to Magic The Gathering similar to Blizzard's Hearthstone (I hope.)

Also - related to Battlefront, once there are some PC system requirements posted I'll run a poll to see which system most people are buying it on. Including a link to a gaming PC which meets the minimum system requirements and one that meets the recommendations, so people can compare prices for all of their options to play.

I'm hoping we can actually pursue a plan of focusing all our gamers into one platform so we can actually have a robust and undivided gaming community on Battlefront. Personally though, whenever Origin will take my money, I'll have my PC Master Race pre-order in.

I agree with Yacks that it is a good idea for us to focus our gamers into one platform as best we can, but I think Val's approach of a poll is a good one before deciding which that should be. Many of our members have expressed buying PS4s or other consoles rather than upgrading their PCs to play the game. I may be in that boat. I think we will still provide support for other platforms regardless of which we push most heavily, but I do think we should focus our energies primarily on one platform, whatever that might be. My personal hope is the system requirements for PC aren't too high so I can just stick a new video card in my system and go with that.

On PC you can also play SWTOR, JA and Pazaak. The most played SW platforms in the DB. 'nuff said!

While I'd love to have everyone on one platform I also recognize that establishing an expectation that everyone buy Battlefront on only that platform is unrealistic.

Some folks already have a platform they plan on buying this on because RL friends are playing on it. Others may have just upgraded a PC or bought a new Console and aren't in the market for a second upgrade yet. Restricting awards based on platform is something I will not do.

What I will be doing, as I mentioned before, is establishing a poll to provide our members with information on what seems to be the leading platform so if they have the option to play it on any platform or are in the market to upgrade to a new platform they can choose based on this information. If that's what they want.
