Star Wars Galactic Defense: Felucia Competition

Earlier today a new planet was released for Star Wars Galactic Defense. Just like previous competition this one will run for about one month, award CFs to participants based on the amount of Stars they earn, and award 2nd Level Crescents. Star Wars Galactic Defense Geonosis Competition Update

Geonosis has been a bear to get through. On top of that people have needed to earn at least 48 stars on the previous two planets to even unlock this deathtrap of a planet. As a bonus for all the hard earned work in addition to the CFs awarded for Geonosis anyone who submits with any stars earned on Geonosis will earn an additional 40 CFs. This is based on the two previous planets (which had no competitions) star requirements to unlock Geonosis. New to Galactic Defense? Helpful hint here

So I started playing Galactic Defense and was looking hard at the Durasteel (10k) and Carbonite (30k) Pods for new champions. The Carbonite pods say their champions have higher level caps, this is mostly true. All Champions will start at Level 15, Durasteel Pod Champions can generally be elevated up to Level 40, you gain 5 more levels for each time you get a duplicate of that Champion in a pod. Carbonite Pod Champions can potentially go up to Level 60. So lets do some fancy math....

• There are 8 Durasteel Pod Champions, giving you a 12.5% chance to get a duplicate when you buy a new pod. These Pods are also only 10k each.
• There are 10 Carbonite Pod Champions, giving you a 10% chance to get a duplicate Champion, and they cost 30k each.

Based on this if you are only using in game earned currency (like me) your best bet is likely to stick with the Durasteel Pod Champions. Better chance to increase the Level Cap, and you can buy the pods 3 times as quickly. Not sure if all the other Galactic Defense gamers have the same philosophy, add your thoughts in the comments!
