Ascending Convergence - Chapter One

Ishak Two
Hellas Fleet Yards
Trecurus Orbit, Aliso System
"Ishak Two, check your vectors."
Aris eased the controls of the TIE gently to move back on course, the distraction of watching the yard having apparently let his attention wander away from keeping his heading. The FO answered every touch too well, always feeling one step ahead of him. Aris knew that if he let it he could fall behind the fighter and get into trouble if he weren't careful. He still hadn’t decided whether he liked flying it or merely respected it. “Got it, lead,” he said. “On course.”
The stars ahead of him suddenly distorted all across his vision. One heartbeat the traffic approaches were clear, and the next realspace filled with ships dropping out of hyperspace so close it made his stomach fall a few thousand meters. Flickers of pseudomotion preceded the bright white daggers of giant Star Destroyers filling the space in front of him. Destroyers, cruisers, screening vessels, they all filled his scopes like dense ruby red stars over the skies of the deep core.
“Multiple contacts!” somebody barked over comms. “Close, close—”

Summary
A former Plagueis shuttle departs Bakura carrying silent, highly conditioned former Final Order troops, setting an ominous tone for what’s to come.
Hellas Fleet Yards is struck without warning by a large, coordinated enemy force of capital ships and advanced fighters, catching Plagueis defenses unprepared.
The assault devastates the shipyards in minutes—capital ships crippled or destroyed, fighter screens shattered, and key infrastructure annihilated.
Plagueis pilots and defenders attempt to respond but are outmatched by superior coordination and tactics, suffering heavy losses.
Just as quickly as it began, the enemy withdraws, revealing the attack was not meant to occupy—but to cripple and send a message.
Tu’Qan Varick identifies the strike as the opening move of a larger campaign, ordering full system-wide mobilization in response.
Chaos spreads across the Aliso System: bombings erupt in civilian zones, system failures suggest sabotage, and unknown contacts begin appearing at the edges of sensor range.
Aboard the Ascendancy, Selika Roh confirms the reports and orders an immediate return to defend the system.
The Eternal Order has revealed itself—and the war for Plagueis has begun.
