Captain's Log: July 2026

Tythas Shipyards, 3 days before the invasion of Cor’neria

Jon Silvon, Aurelis quickly learned, was almost never in his office. Despite occupying the governorship of Tythas City and having a, in her opinion, *exceedingly comfortable main office that overlooked the underwater skyline, the new Quaestor of House Sunrider preferred to be out and about in the city he now ran, conducting official business by holocall from wherever he happened to be at the time.*

He also never *announced where he was going to be on any given day, forcing people like Aurelis to actively seek him out for anything that required his actual, physical presence.*

She had thought it a kind of irritating, but could not blame the man who sat about as still as a nexu with the zoomies, but five minutes in conversation with *Captain Jon Silvon (as he insisted on being called) made it clear he was as interested in power as a hutt was in table manners.*

Either way, that was how she came to stand next to him in the middle of an active shipyard as he called out commands to the droids and dockworkers scurrying like insects over the hull of a half-finished CR70-class corvette.

“That’s it, lower her down nice and gentle, I don’t want a *scratch on that hull when we take her out for the first time, gentlemen!”*

Aurelis cleared her throat.

“Oh hey Aure!” he chirped, glancing over his shoulder before turning back to the slowly-assembling vessel. “What can I help you with today?”

“You can start by approving these logistics orders for the Cor’neria operation,” she said, shoving a datapad at him, which he half-heartedly took. “You can *continue by maybe focusing a little more on the war we’ve committed to rather than…” she waved a hand at the rows of construction going on before them. “This. This won’t do anyone any good if we don’t win.”*

Jon chuckled as he quickly swiped through form after form on the datapad.

“Aurelis. Always so focused on the here and now. Me, I prefer to keep my eyes on the horizon.”

“You have to live long enough to reach it, first.”

“You’re as much a gambler as me as I recall,” he said, handing the datapad back. “Strategist.” Aurelis corrected.

“Trust me Aurelis. We’re going to come through this nice and clean, Sunrider. And when we get back? The newly minted Pathfinder Fleet will be waiting for us. It’s a brand new day, Aurelis.”

“I misjudged you for a realist…you are, by a far margin…an optimist.”

She slipped something onto his collar and pinned it in place. It appeared to be a typical symbol of the Quaestor position. "Now I don’t have to waste an hour looking for you,” she said.

First off, I want to congragulate everyone on their phenomal performance in the last Great Jedi War, and as we move back into peace I look forward to working with you all. Aurelis, Xantros, and I have some very interesting and exciting plans going forward.

Work on Project Pathfinder continues apace, but sure would go a lot faster if we had access to Daleem's orbital shipyards; alas, the Shipwright's Guild is under Empress Kaltani's direct stewardship, and she's being a bit stingy about giving us access. Might have to do something about that soon...

Say, weren't there some spooky ruins under Daleem too? Whatever happened to those?
