Friends, Plagueians, Countryfolk. Lend me your ears.

I’ve been around a bit and over there for a while. I was up there for a stint and even on the other side of that wall. Now I am back. Who am I?

I was asked recently who the heck I am, so lemme give you a recap of what I’ve done, who I am, and what you can expect from me.

I joined the Brotherhood in 2007, 4 days before my 21st birthday, which means I’m coming up on 19 years in this club. Plagueis was where I was placed back in the time before Muz. I did the things and got the shinies and moved from Aedile of Satal Keto (what the heck’s an aluminum falcon?) to QUA, to PCON, and then sooner than I probably was ready for, Consul. I was really bad at it. I resigned just after the Clans were turned into Houses and limboed about for a bit. I shifted between Clans, moving to Taldryan, then Arcona, then back to Taldryan as Proconsul, then to Fist for a cup of coffee and a pink slip, then back to the dregs of Rogues.

I was recalled to Plagueis to serve once again as Proconsul and eventually resigned to make room for “younger” members to serve in the role and gain experience. And so they did. My successors became DCers and Consuls in their own right. And now I return to you to serve as Consul of Plagueis for the second time.

In real life, I’m an actor of the Stage, Screen, and Rock Opera albums. No, you’ve never seen me in anything unless you have, but I find that rather unlikely. I teach voice lessons, acting lessons, I’m training at MLP to become a Pro Wrestling referee, and I shoutcast for multiple Overwatch Leagues.

I am a huge Detroit Red Wings fan and cheer for everything at the University of Michigan. I know too many stupid things about sports. I love trivia of various kinds and there’s a mass of useless knowledge where my memory is supposed to be.

I walked a whole mile today and was winded at the end. And half way through. And a quarter of the way through. It took me 45 minutes. I’m VERY out of shape. I have work to do.

Here’s what you can expect from me as Consul. Comps. You’re gonna get them. A bunch. With some really neat caveats. You’re gonna get Pro Bowls. And you’re gonna get a Plagueian loyalist. I love this Clan. It has been great to me. It’s given me opportunities and it’s given me experience. The membership core is great, and though we’ve lost some powerhouses recently, we’ve picked up a few new ones.

I lead from the front, as evidenced by my performance in the last two GJWs and Meridian, and I want to make sure I’m making opportunities for others who want to come with me.

I am a staunch supporter of the rights of the membership, having served as Left Hand of Justice three times. I’m a big believer in making sure this club is a positive and healthy environment for all of our membership so that we can foster friendships, grow in size, and have a great group of folks that we can play games with, roleplay with, debate with, and compete with.

Enough About Me, What About You

First thing is first, I want to give a massive thank you to the folks who came before me. TuQ’uan has been an absolute staple of Clan Plagueis for a very long time and he will be Consul again, I’m sure. Selika was one of the most polarizing figures in the DB, for sure, but he led Plagueis proudly for several years and helped develop the next generation of leadership in this club. His contributions are not to be overlooked.

Those who came before me are never as important as those who will come after me, and that’s my goal for all of you. I like to think of myself as a transitional Consul. My primary duty is to those within this Clan: you. If I am not providing you with the leadership, counsel, and opportunities for success, I am failing. This is why I come equipped with plans!

You are not just metrics and awards. You’re people and you’re my people. You will see competitions designed to not just award you for participating, but also for diversification of your participation. You’ll understand what that means more when I introduce our first round of competitions. You’ll constantly find me gaming and if you ask me to play, my answer will most likely be yes. Something that has been percolating in Summit Chat since before I was named Consul was roleplay. Fictional updates will be soft launched in roleplay sessions and then may include those who are participating in those roleplays. You will always have enough juicy competitions to sink your teeth into, and participating in those from the Summit and from the Club, will help you earn even MORE in Plagueis!

Also, have I mentioned that maybe there could be a Pro Bowl?

The future of how Clan titles are earned is being decided by title holders and Clan Summits all over the club. Objective requirements are the shifting tide of progress here in the DB and now Clan titles are going to be operating in the same way. I do not have an update for you on how this will be earned, but I promise you that the way to earn the title of di Plagia will be transparent and based on objective metrics.

In the spirit of transparency, I’ll let you know that my intention is to first discuss this with the di Plagia, then with the Summit, then by my first official report a full description of how to receive the title will be solidified and approved by the DGM.

Awards from the War

Many of you have already received your shinies and promotions. I’m looking forward to getting the rest of yours out to you as soon as I can. There are a few things on my list of MUST DO IN FIRST WEEK, and rest assured, making sure you get your pixels and credits is at the top of the list.

Additionally, the Clan itself was awarded with a custom Frigate of our own design. I’ll be designing this in the coming days and I’m hoping to use it as a Standing Set for Plagueian storytelling. We also decided on the Ascendant Crystal Cloaking Device as our piece of technology to be acquired post-war, yet to be assigned. And with a few million credits earned during the war, thanks to all of you, we’ll be able to upgrade or add to our military in a meaningful way.
