First, Happy First Contact Day. Now, onto the report!

I won't say too much about the feud now that we're winding down but just that I am very happy with how we're doing, and I want everyone to keep pushing, try your best, and finish strong! Most of you should be wrapping up the team events as well as chugging along on the Phase II individual events.

A more meaty to-do about the feud will come after it ends with full results from either A'lora or I. So stay tuned for that.

Post-Feud

We're getting close to the end of our feud with Odan-Urr, and as a result (and also hinted at in my last report) the Summit has been hard at work brainstorming ideas for our next event. I'll give an outline of events as I see them going forward.

Immediately after the feud we'll have three to four weeks of "down time". During this time the individual house summits (and anyone else that wants to, for that matter) will be responsible for putting together some low-key competitions for everyone to run. Stuff that will be fun and relaxing.

After that, we will go into our event. I want to keep the story behind it a little under wraps as a "surprise" for all the hard work everyone in Plagueis has been doing. However, I will say that what's happening going forward fictionally will fundamentally change the base by which we stand on. Don't worry, we'll still be the evilest evils on the block.

As far as the events breakdown: for the 2016 Clan Plagueis Pro Bowl your team captains will be… Teylas Ramar and Selika Roh! We're going to be doing this event Pro Bowl style. Selika and I will serve as team captains and will select our teams draft style from the overall Plagueis pool. The quaestors, Eiko and Kalon, will be running the event with Drac serving as their Overseer (see what I did there?). They'll determine the event types, the events themselves, length, phases, and the grading. Selika and I will be there to help mentor them and guide them if needed (like types of grading methods out there) but won't be doing anything when it comes to the competition details to keep us objective. Our goal, as the team captains, will be to guide the individual teams towards victory, participation, and most importantly having fun! This will also essentially keep the top half of the Plagueis summit out of participation from this event so this event will be, completely and totally, as I envision it about the members of Plagueis, not the leadership. We're just here as stewards of your fun!

Recruitment

As some of you are aware, we’ve seen a few of our members move over to the Rogues due to inactivity. While a few lost members (however unfortunate) is normal, it brings up the continued necessity for active recruitment.

We are always looking for new members to join our team. Most of us have friends who love Star Wars, or who are active writers, artists, or gamers that might be looking for an active and supportive community to join. We have it all here in the DJB and in Clan Plagueis! Talk to your friends, and hit them up with a personalized recruitment link. Not only will you help to keep making Clan Plagueis great, but you also have the chance to earn some dossier candy for recruiting a new member!

To give you an idea, the last time I called upon just the Summit for recruitment and we pulled in 8 new, active members that are now members of our community. On top of that, people who join via word of mouth tend to stick around. I'm a perfect example of this. Selika recruited me into the Brotherhood many moons ago. I recruited our newest aedile, Laren. This is a community we build together, so why not have people you love to spend time with over a common interest in here with you?

Yes, Telegram. Again. Most of the clan is on it, but it never hurts to beat this drum. We have a great Telegram presence that seems to get more and more active every day.
