Combat Master Report #2: An Unconventional New Venue and Championship Details

An Unconventional New Venue:

Hello again! Combat Master Vincent Brujah here, back to announce a brand new venue that was created for use in the Unconventional Hall. Magda Venn and Master Windos recently had a "battle" in the Unconventional Hall that was entirely based on playing a game of Sabaac. If you haven't read the battle, you can check it out here. After that match was completed, Magda came to me with the idea of creating a casino venue for the Unconventional Hall, with the idea being that you and another character could follow in their footsteps and write out a game of Sabaac in a more conventional location for such an activity.

I liked that idea. In fact, I liked it so much that I created a brand new venue that is exclusive to the Unconventional Hall! Canto Bight: Canto Casino! Check out the details in the image below, or at our Venue Database here.

This venue can be used... well... however you like, really, since it's the Unconventional Hall. However, it was created with the idea of playing 1 on 1 casino games against each other. That's not limited to Sabaac. Go wild with ideas. If it's a game that a casino in Star Wars would have, and your opponent agrees to it, have at it. I hope that you all enjoy and use the new venue, and I thank Magda for his suggestion.

ACC Championship Tournament:

Who is ready for an update on the ACC Championship tournament? Well, I'm happy to give you one. Based on the timing of the Pro Bowl and other big Brotherhood events, I am tentatively scheduling the ACC Championship Tournament to begin late this month (August 2026). I will give an exact date once I have all the details worked out and the competitions created, but we are shooting to start around the last weekend in August.

What will be different about this ACC Championship Tournament? A few things.

• Based on a suggestion from Cassandra Oriana Taldrya, this year there will be two separate ladders/brackets. A Beginners/Intermediate Championship and a Masters Championship.
• Signups for the Masters Championship ladder will be open to anyone
• Signups for the Beginners/Intermediate Championship ladder will be limited, based on the number of wins you have in the ACC at the time of signups. I will explain in more detail when I fully announce the tournament.
• You may only sign up for one of the two ladders
• You may use any character of yours that has a valid and approved character sheet
• 6 brand new venues are being created for the Tournament

As with previous ACC Championship Tournaments, the winner and runner up of each ladder will be awarded with the Champion's Gauntlet and Champion's Bracer respectively.

Here's where I'm gonna really shake things up. When each ladder is completed and we have a winner in the Beginners/Intermediate tournament and the Masters tournament, those two will face each other for a brand new possession...

The ACC Championship Belt:

I have worked with the Regent Staff, who worked with the Herald Staff to create a brand new possession for ACC Champions. I present to you, the ACC Championship Belt:

You can the information pictured above at the link here. To give you the rundown, the ACC Championship Belt is both a weapon and an accessory. It is made of blackened bantha leather and gold-plated beskar alloy. The plates of the belt are fitted with sharpened gemstones that will rip flesh on contact. The two side plates open, allowing you to store two accessory items! The main plate is a pressure plate that is connected to an electrical system similar to that found in shockboxing gloves. Smack your opponent with the main plate of the belt and you are probably going to bust them open and send a big jolt of electricity through them. It is as dangerous as it is beautiful, and I thank the Regent and Herald staff for working with me to make this vision of mine come to life.

But, I can hear you saying: "Dang Vincent, that belt is cool. I wish it was up for grabs when I won an ACC Championship!". To you, I say: Check your possessions! All former ACC Champions as listed on the wiki have been awarded the ACC Championship Belt and it should be available to you now. If you believe there is a mistake and you should have received the belt but did not, please let me know via email or Discord message and we can discuss.
