Consul Report #1: Changes

Taldryan Senate Complex

Supreme Chancellor Narman Losa turned to look out the window of his new office, overlooking the vast Taldryan Senate Complex. The late afternoon light was still shimmering, barely, over the perimeter wall and reflecting off the surface of the crater lake. A vibrant orange glow illuminated the adjacent wall, a sharp contrast to the sky above, which was already shifting into the purples and blues of night. He could feel the stubble of his beard catching in the collar of his uniform as he shifted his weight. He had shaved on the shuttle ride over from Elysia, not entirely uncommon for a retired soldier, but something he hadn’t been forced to do in some time. It had been a long day.

Behind him, an array of holoprojectors displaying the various heads of the Taldryan Republic military forces protruded from his desk. Narman turned back to address them, adjusting his collar subconsciously. They each were waiting patiently for his response. Truthfully, he didn’t have a good one for them. The circumstances of his elevation to Supreme Chancellor were unusual, though it wasn’t the first time that the transition had been so sudden. For some people that transition might have seemed suspicious, but not to them, not him. They all knew his record and his reputation. Most importantly, though, they had been working with his predecessor and saw the issues firsthand.

Hello everyone and welcome to my first official report as Consul of Clan Taldryan! For those who don’t know me, my name is Wade and my character’s name is Narman Losa. I first joined the Brotherhood in 2006 when I was 13 and I was a member of Clan Tarentum. After a long stint in the Rogues I returned in 2014 and joined Clan Odan Urr, where I stayed until unfortunate life circumstances prevented me from being active. In 2024 I once again came back to the Brotherhood, and seeking a fresh start, I transferred to Clan Taldryan where I have been happily ever since. I served first as a Magistrate, then as Proconsul before now taking over as Consul when Ood stepped down.

I want to take this beginning section of my report to give thanks. First, to my predecessor, Ood Bnar, for serving as Consul for the last year and a half, leading the fictional direction of the Clan, and believing in me to take over for him. Likewise I would like to thank the Council for their faith in me and for all the members who have reached out to me or spoken on my behalf, I am truly grateful. I also want to thank the veteran members of both Taldryan and the Brotherhood in general who I know I can lean on(and will continue to lean on) to help me get my bearings in this new role. Last but not least, I want to thank my former Magistrate and now Proconsul Jenni for being willing to move up to assist me without any time to prepare, and our unofficial Magistrate Teebu for being a constant source of advice and aid since I joined the Clan.

I have always been a big proponent of giving everyone opportunities to be involved in the fictional story of the Clan. Since I’ve been on the Summit we’ve built many of our competitions in this way, so that the results from the submissions become canon. Similarly, I’ve run weekly #TalQuestions centered on specific regions of Taldryan territory. This mindset will continue as I work together with Jenni to lead the story forward. There will be changes, though. More competitions, more activities, and more character-centered weekly questions are just the tip of the iceberg. Ood was beginning a push towards improving the overall Gaming experience within the Clan, and that is a goal we will be striving for as well. Below you will find a survey to gauge interest in specific activities, please fill it out to help us best serve you!

Spring Clan Health Evaluation

Our current event, Taldryan Republic: Unsealing The Ruins, is still running until May 10th. The winning submissions from these competitions will determine what is found beneath the Jedi Temple on Interitus Cairn, and because this is a Brotherhood-wide event, it presents an opportunity for any member to create a piece of Taldryan canon!

Hey guys! Jenni here! I’m honored that Wade asked me to be his Proconsul and I will do everything I can to help him achieve the Summit’s goal with the clan, along with members' individual goals.

So, as you all know, my name is Jenni. When May comes around, I’ll be part of the DJB for three years. I am aware that some of you guys are concerned about my health and holding positions for three roles. I can say that when I started to feel sick during my time as QUA in Arcona and M:FIST, I stepped down as fast as possible so others could have a chance and not keep the seat warm. If that occurs, we already have a plan in place.

Now that aside, I’m a simple gal that lives with her ex, a dummy but sweet dog, and an amazing sweet cat. I adore many different pillars of this club, from writing to gaming and even started to enjoy ACC. I am very much chronically online and ready to game with you guys, discuss character developments or creations, or even just post memes and crack jokes.

Looking forward to getting to know you guys more!

Thank you all again!
