Consul Report #3: Rest and Rewards

Greetings Taldryanites!

It is my pleasure to address you as the Third Clan of the Brotherhood! It was thanks to the outstanding work of all of you that we were able to achieve this; I’m so immensly proud. Great Jedi War XVII: Animus has come and gone, and while it may be in the rearview mirror now, it left behind a whole heap of goodies for us; I’ll go into detail about what those are. Also I’ll announce the highest scorer of the War, the winner of the Cylinder of Taldryae. Last we will discuss our upcoming awards sweep!

First, though, I’d like to talk about the our collective war effort. Taldryan rallied to an impressive 3,421.95 points, nearly 1000 points more than fourth place! We averaged 50% participation over the war, showing how dedicated Taldryanites are to come out of the woodwork and contribute when we need it most; 8 of you even managed full participation in all bins of the event. We had 10 top-3 placements across all the competitions, including a few Gold Novae among them. I’d like to specifically highlight a few members, not for their event achievements(which there are many, each of these members placed at least once!) but for their efforts to motivate the Clan. Erinyes set up a War gaming thread before the event began, and together with Jenni and Teebu organized gaming groups and sessions every night throughout. They were essential in creating opportunities for other members to get participation and every point they earned in those competitions added up to give us third place. Erinyes and Teebu also provided me with daily advice on how to be Consul during a War, which I’m incredibly grateful for. Vodo was a constant voice on Discord with his rallying cries, making sure that no one lost motivation. I can personally attest to this, as his guidance kept our first place roleplay group on track and we would likely not have finished without it.

With my abrupt promotion to Consul just before GJWXVII began, there were doubts by some that Taldryan would be able to recover, but I never lost faith. I knew that the dedication to the Clan goes beyond what people on the outside can see. It’s very gratifying to be proven right and see you all achieve Third Clan!

As we announced prior to the War, the highest points scorer would be awarded an artifact from the Taldryan vaults: the Cylinder of Taldryae. I’m pleased to announce that the winner of this artifact is:

Vodo!

3 placements across the event, snagging one each of Gold, Silver, and Bronze Novae, multiple other top-10 finishes, and a standout performance in the DJB Battleship tournament! Well deserved for all your efforts!

As a reward for achieving Third Clan of the Brothehood, Taldryan has earned a couple unique prizes, as well as a prize purse of over 106 million credits! Each of the top-3 finishing Clans will get a custom cruiser class ship for their fleets, and third place also gets a custom weapon design. Discussions have already been ongoing within the Clan on what we want to have, but the deadline is fast approaching. If you have suggestions make them soon before time runs out! Jenni and I are already hard at work on an award sweep for you all. Its been quite some time since the last one and a few of you have very significant XP built up since then. You’ll begin to see those awards trickling in over the next week or so as we fill in the reccomendations. I can say confidently that almost all of you will receive an award this time. Keep an eye on those inboxes and Discord notifications!

No fiction update this time, but stay tuned for a news post coming next week where we will announce the winner of Gatekeeper Protocol and award the Scion’s Bryar Lightsword.
