Consul Report #5: Picking Up The Pieces
.png)
Greetings Taldryanites and visitors from abroad!
We’ve got some announcements and news to get to in this report, but first, a small fiction update!
Ektrosis Waterfront
Port Kasiya
Kasiya
The creaking of a durasteel beam broke Supreme Chancellor Narman Losa Taldrya from his trance. A pair of maintenance droids with bright yellow stripes lowered the beam slowly to compensate for its bending while a third droid welded the contact points. All around them were buildings in various dilapidated states. Though his eyes were watching the construction crew diligently working, his focus was a thousand miles off into the distance, far past the terrestrial struggles on Kasiya, or even the ones in their home system. This was only a symptom of a far greater problem.
They had underestimated the threat posed by the pirate factions. He had underestimated them. Narman worried he was becoming too soft as a politician; if the 19th Saber were truly behind these attacks, he’d need the mind of a soldier again. No, he’d need the mind of a surgeon.
“Sir, incoming call from Thanadris. It’s the Lady Second.” Narman glanced over his shoulder at the Summit Guard and nodded.
“I’ll take it in the shuttle on the way back to the Senate complex. I have a meeting scheduled and I’ve been here long enough. ” He took one more look at the Ektrosis Waterfront. Normally at this time of year it would be abuzz with activity. Now it was devoid of any civilians, the only presence being the various maintenance crews executing repairs.
That wouldn’t last, though. The people of the Taldryan Republic were resilient. Stubborn, even.
Read the rest of the fiction here.
TL;DR
Narman observes the construction efforts and takes a call from his former boss.
Maeva makes a surprise resignation.
A mysterious new individual arrives in Narman’s office, and they immediately click.
And with that, our event, Taldryan Republic: Fallout is finished! Congratulations to our winner, Celevon and our 2nd and 3rd place finishers, Centam and Dasha! Thank you to everyone who participated. I would have loved to get more submissions for the fiction and graphics competitions, but with so many events always overlapping I understand it can be difficult to find the time or mental bandwidth to do them all.
Keep an eye on this space in the coming weeks, as I’ll be announcing our next Clan mini-event, found under the monochromatic skies of Ostara…
PCon Corner
Hello all. I’m Celevon, Taldryan’s newest ProConsul. Some of you may know me, others may be wondering who this strange new person is. We’ll get to that. Firstly, I’d like to thank Jenni for her exceptional service as my predecessor, which is continuing as she has become one of our Magistrates. I certainly have some big shoes to fill. Or perhaps she has small feet and I’m being presumptuous? Secondly, I’d like to thank Wade for giving me the chance to give back to Taldryan.
My job as PCON is to be in service to the Clan. In other words, I’m here for you, the regular member. To make sure you’re being awarded appropriately, that you’re happy with the storyline or perhaps would like to see more of a certain type of competition and part of the community that is Taldryan. Most importantly, I’m here to ensure that your time in the Clan and that community is an enjoyable one.
As such, I have an open-door policy. No, Jorm, that doesn’t mean you need to steal my door! If you want to chat about something, I’m just an email or a DM away and I keep those conversations in the strictest confidentiality unless you tell me otherwise.
Knock out those ProBowl entries, folks!

Pro Bowl X: Cor’neria Cleanup is now underway, with Week One having officially begun October 4th. Our two team captains are Techsketch for the Frogdogs and Jenni for the Rotworms. They completed a draft of all the members of Taldryan, see the full breakdown of the two teams here. This event will be running for the next three weeks, finishing up at the end of the month. Remember to check back in each week to see the new competitions. Enjoy, have fun, and make your teams proud!
The latest iteration of the Herald’s spooky October event is here, Herald’s Halloween: A Nancora Haunting. There are 5 graphics competitions, of varying difficulty, running until the end of the month. These competitions offer double Clusters of Graphite, so even if you don’t consider yourself an artist, it’s worth participating in. Herald events are easily my favorite in the Club!
ACC Championship: Revival 2026 is on to the quarterfinals. Congratulations to Jenni and Vodo for remaining in the tournament this long, and good luck with your matches! We’re all cheering for you!
Don’t forget, the second M:Con position is still open and accepting applications!
That’s all for this one! Get to work on the Pro Bowl and stay tuned in the coming weeks for more news about our next mini-event!

Open door you say Celevon, well if Jorm doesn't steal the door first, I will gladly offer my door taking services. Congrats by the way as Tal's new Pcon. :) Great report and look forward to seeing some awesome things along the way. ~Tasha
