Daemunn Moon Base

Onboard the ST-70 Assault Ship “Empire’s Rise”

Captain Mar’Vel Wonder

Mar’vel walked around her hold making sure that everything had been tied down. Only an hour before she had been warned of an impending assault by Clan Vizsla forces from Zsoldos. She fully expected them to throw the bulk of their fleet at her to destroy her forces and her plans. Before boarding her ship, the Captain had ordered a few pirates loyalists to stand watch at the gun emplacements while everyone else packed up what they could and prepared to evacuate the base.

“It sure wasn’t long that they found us here,” she thought to herself as she climbed the ladder into the cockpit. “I guess it is time to move forward.” Mar’vel sat in the pilot's chair and began flipping switches here and pulling handles there in her pre-flight motions. The engines hummed to life and the lift brought her up from the depths of the facility to the night surface of Daemunn.

“This is the Empire’s Rise, I am taking off.” Mar’vel commed into the landing platform.

“Landing platform confirmed, safe travels Captain.” The pirate landing controller stated quickly as he prepared to launch all of the other pirate vessels. “Proceed with the evacuation, Vizsla will be here soon.” She ended the transmission.

Mar’vel punched in a few more commands into her nav computer and the screen flashed its destination for confirmation. “BAKURA” She confirmed the coordinates and headed for open space. As she reached the edge of the atmosphere the Vizsla Command Ship Concordia could be seen on an incoming trajectory with fighters launched and ready for combat. It was of no consequence and she pushed the hyperdrive controls into active position.

Daemunn Moon

Onboard the Vizsla Command Ship Concordia

Reaver Kanal O’Neill

Kanal looked out of the front viewport toward the moon. It was in its night phase and looked like a shimmering jewel in the darkness of space. A jewel that pirates thought they deserved and he would show them how wrong they were.

“There is an ST-70 Assault Ship leaving the surface sir.” A sensor officer called up to Kanal.

“Bring all guns to bear on it and fire when ready.” He ordered quickly, but it was too late. The ship transitioned from normal space to hyperspace in the blink of an eye.

“She’s gone, sir.” The gunnery officer called over.

“Yes, I can see that Lieutenant. Turn your focus to the moon base and prepare all forces for the assault.” Kanal ordered as he turned on his heels to walk toward the turbo-lift.

He pushed the button for the hanger bay. It was time to return to his own ST-70 Assault Ship the “Nightstrike”. As the lift descended into the belly of the ship Kanal activated his comlink and called for Denath and Chrome to meet him there. Seconds later Kanal pushed through the turbo-lift doors to see his comrades standing near the landing ramp of the Nightstrike. They nodded at each other and boarded the ship and prepared to head for the surface.

Zsoldos

Vizsla Command

Corsair Korvis

Korvis paced around the command center waiting for any communication about the assault on the pirate base. Just then the holocommunicator turned on. The image of Kanal sprung to life above the console.

“Korvis, we have reached the surface of Daemunn and we have encountered very little resistance.” He explained. “Apparently the pirates were already on their way out through other landing bays that we didn’t know about further into the mountain range. This base is massive and we don’t yet know how far it stretches.”

“So the remaining pirates on the base were glorified cannon fodder. They made it possible for their comrades to escape.” Korvis scoffed at the gall of the pirates. “And what of our main target?”

“Mar’Vel is not here. In fact, we saw an ST-70 Assault Ship like mine jump into hyperspace before we could blast it out of the sky.” Kanal explained quickly.

“We need to try and find something on the base to determine where she went, and what her plans are.”

“Get to it, and keep me in the loop. Korvis out.” With a nod Kanal closed down the link and left Korvis to mull over the details he had been given.

Bakura Space

Onboard the ST-70 Assault Ship “Empire’s Rise”

Captain Mar’Vel Wonder

Mar’Vel was approaching Bakura near one of the unsettled regions of the mountains. Reports had made their way to her of a mysterious temple located in an archeological dig. The entrance had recently been uncovered and it interested her greatly. This was no mere temple. It was a temple of the fabled Children of Mortis.

She had heard stories of one such temple that allowed passage through time in the world beyond worlds. It was her intention to figure out how to go into this realm and go back to before Vizsla was a powerhouse in the region. She wanted to make sure that when she re-emerged in this time period it would be her system to control, not Vizslas. Knowing it was only a matter of time before her plans were figured out she moved quickly to find out all she could about this temple and other locations like it.

There you have the fictional update for Month two of the great hunt written by Kanal. We had a really good turnout for month one with 8 unique participants. This is half the clan that is eligible to compete participating in at least one event. The leaderboard is tightly packed after the first month and onth two starts February 1st with more events and knowing Kanal and Brimstone more plot twists.

I would also like to take this moment to let the Clan members know that Ricmore is laying out the framework for RP sessions to begin in Clan Vizsla. We have a tentative set of rules worked out and I will be creating two new channels for the Clan. An in-character RP chat and an out of Character RP chat. RP events have been quite successful for many of the clans. I had waited on instituting it to see if a formalized set of guidelines and rules would be released for everyone. With the latest RP tribune report stating that was not going to be a thing, I moved forward. Our system mirrors at least two other Clans, namely Taldryan and CSP, so I want to thank Kam and Appius for letting Ricmore and myself pick their brains and steal borrow their format. Seriously though, I wanted it to be easy for members to jump in from other clans or even possibly some DC members. The simplest solution was to have rules that paralleled other clans.

-= Artifacts =-

The Goal of the artifacts was to first and foremost give back to the members who do so much for Vizsla. As stated many times in my reports I am all about activity, especially where it matters most. Two of the artifacts are reserved for rewarding those that show up and show out. The Honorific titles in Vizsla are the Huntmaster and the Warstalker. Huntmaster is given to the winner of the Bi-annual Great Hunts. Warstalker is given to the highest-scoring member in a Vendetta. As such I wanted those artifacts to be something both special and useable by members. As the titles rotate, so do the artifacts with members-only allowed possession of one Artifact at a time. I am really proud of how they turned out and hope that the Members make good use of not just using them, but have a lot of fun earning them as well. We also wanted an artifact that told the Vizsla history. The Consul item is the history of Vizsla in a datacron. It also serves a secondary purpose. I want the Consul to be ineligible for the Trident and the Crusader armor. With a member only being able to hold one Clan Artifact at a time the Datacron does just that. It also allows for us as a clan to have a fictional way of using the history of Clan Vizsla to drive storylines and events.

I have included the write-ups that will be going onto the Wiki page here for a more detailed look into the items and their use.

== Jai'galaar Electro-Trident ==

The Jai’jalaar Electro-Trident is a 3 pronged polearm consisting of an ax head with a spear point down the middle of the blade. Made of Beskar it is silver in color. Both ax blades have been sharpened to allow them to either slash or pierce when thrust. The two blades and center spear tip have been crafted to resemble the crest of Clan Vizsla, the diving Shriekhawk. The head is also capable of being charged with electricity through a selector switch. The charge can range from minor discomfort to death within seconds. The back end of the Trident has been forged into a point to allow a piercing end on a back thrust. Due to the material used to construct the weapon, it is extraordinarily lightweight, especially for its size. The entire weapon is made of alchemically treated Beskar which can be connected to by a force-sensitive in the same manner as a Kyber crystal. The weapon has been specifically crafted and designed to represent the best hunter in the Clan. As such it is awarded only to the winner of the Great Hunt and members must defend their title or lose access to the weapon. Keeping the weapon through multiple Great Hunts is a rare feat.

A symbol of power in Clan Vizsla, the trident is reserved for the Huntmaster. If no rostered members hold the title it will be handed out by the Consul to one he seems worthy of the honor.

== Beskar Crusader Armor ==

Originally carved out of Mythosaur bones, the armor has a light brown color due to the fossilization. The armor has spikes on the pauldrons, knee guards, and feet. The helmet retains the classic T-shaped visor with several horns on the crown of the helmet. The armor has been restored to its original glory and modified with a Beskar underlay. Hermetically sealed, it is capable of minimal use in a vacuum. While it has the Beskar underlay the Mythosaur boned exterior is still subject to damage. This was the oldest known armor used by a member of Clan Vizsla. It predates the Galactic Republic and was originally worn by an ancient Taung warrior of Vizsla. It had resided in the private collection of a Hapan noble until liberated and returned to its rightful owners by Declan Roark and Val Cole.

A symbol of power in Clan Vizsla, the armor is reserved for the Warstalker. The most notable warrior in the clan during large-scale battles. If no rostered members hold the title it will be handed out by the Consul to one he seems worthy of the honor.

== Tarre Vizsla Datacron ==

The Datacron is a cube 12 inches by 12 inches. It has intricate designs and patterns on all 6 sides. The Datacron is made of Beskar and Dark Crystal with the internal mechanics hidden behind that darkened crystal. Onces powered on it has a dark glow with white edges. The image of Tarre Vizsla is projected over the top of the Holocron in a dull gray glow. Originally believed to be a damaged or failed Jedi Holocron the device is in fact a Datacron created in the final years of Tarre Vizsla's life. It sat for centuries in a vault and eventually made its way into the hands of the Shroud Syndicate. During the Collective attack on Eos members of Clan Vizsla assisted the Shroud Syndicate by repelling collective strike teams. Taken originally as a trophy by members of the strike team it was later revealed to be a complete history of Clan Vizsla from its forming to the death of Tarre Vizsla. It is unique in that the force is not required to operate it. Instead, one must push, pull or twist a certain sequence or risk a painful shock. Discovered by persistence and pain, it contains the knowledge of battles fought, wars won and defeats. The secrets of creating Mandalorian weapons and artifacts are also contained within. Using this Datacron members of Clan Vizsla search for more of their history and Artifacts as well as create new ones. Only the Consul of Clan Vizsla has possession and the right to use the artifact. The item is passed from one Consul to the next as well as the secret to unlock and operate it. (No, it’s not the Konami code.)

-= Consul Corner =-

I encourage everyone to continue the fine work that has been being done the last few months. In particular the participation in the Great Hunt. Kanal and Brimstone have done a superb job in organizing the event and should be rewarded with the rest of us doing all we can to give them plenty of stuff to grade. Once the Hunt is over and complete I will award the winning member with their well-earned Trident and then will be doing an assessment of every member for further awards (which is my favorite part.)

Who wants to hunt me?

depends! how many credits for your hide???
