Covenant Amendment - Removing Master-At-Arms (MAA) References and Future Proofing the Covenant

Following the recent announcements by Grand Master Darth Renatus GM Report #2 a Covenant was proposed to remove the references to Master-At-Arms and future proof the Covenant from any future changes made to roles & responsibilities outside of the Grand Master and Justicar.

The modifications to the Covenant clarify that Executive actions are vested within the Grand Master and then delegated to the members of the Council via Section 1.03 Brotherhood Policies. This section is not being modified by the Amendment, please read below for the modifications.

Voting

Following the discussion 48 hours of voting began with the Electorate. With 100% of the Electorate responding, the Amendment passed with 17 affirmative votes, no dissenting votes, and no abstentions.

As of ~1:00 PM central, the Covenant has been updated to reflect the amended language.

Amendments

Section 2.01 Rights of the Members (b), (e) & (g)

This section was amended to remove reference to the Master-At-Arms (MAA) in 2.01 (b) and 2.01 (g). In section 2.01 (e) the removal of Master-At-Arms (MAA) was replaced with Grand Master.

Section 2.02 Termination of Membership (c), (d), & (e)

This section was modified to remove Master-At-Arms (MAA) from 2.02 (c). For 2.02 (d) Grand Master replaces Master-At-Arms (MAA). While section 2.02 (e) is simplified to replace Master-At-Arms (MAA) with Justicar.

Section 6.01 The Council (b) Members

Removes reference to Master-At-Arms(MAA).

Section 7.04 Juries (f) (iii) Expulsion Juries for Deleted Dossiers

Changed to inform the Grand Master versus the Master-At-Arms (MAA) of the result of an expulsion jury.

Section 7.07 Penalties (m) Disqualification

Removes reference to the Master-At-Arms and replaces it with Grand Master.
