Hi, I'm Karran. A couple things about me for those who don't know: I'm from Texas, I currently live there and am dreading the return of the Summer. I am married, as of this past Spring. One of the first things that attracted me to her was when she said, "Yeah, I like Star Wars," and I proceeded to open the floodgates of my love for the fandom. We bonded over a SWTOR character I made for her and modeled after her (dark side Jedi) and I dumped a lot of in-game currency into a special lightsaber crystal for her. I play Dungeons and Dragons pretty avidly, along with Fantasy Flight Gaming's Star Wars TTRPG. But enough about the minutiae of my life. Let's get to the part that people actually care about.

Firstly, I'd like to list out some of my goals for the Battleteam. Fictionally, my character will attempt to bring some order to the crew of Voidbreaker. However, in real life, my plan is to run weekly RP sessions. These sessions will be everything from everyone kicking back and enjoying some R&R to missions that will (hopefully) challenge your ability to think creatively or test your luck and see how much the dice gods like you. If anyone has certain kinds of missions they would like to see, please don't hesitate to PM me. My absolute longest turnaround on a private message has been about twelve hours, I think, but I typically average much, much less than that.

On the note of weekly RP sessions, we've tried out two, the second of which we will be resuming shortly. There will be more to come.

Now, time for me to answer some questions I received under #AskTheHornyCaptain

"Are we gonna get new grub in the cafeteria?"

Interesting question. Food is for sustenance and nutrition. I believe the food served in the mess hall is adequately nutritious. However, if you are feeling malnourished, I encourage you to make an appointment with the Clan's medical officer, as it is possible that you have contracted a Tatooine Tapeworm. If you are concerned with the flavor, there are a variety of seasonings that I can recommend to make the nutrient paste more palatable.

"When will the beatings stop?"

I do wish you would stop referring to training as "beatings". They are for your own good and they will stop when you win. I expect to see you in the training room first thing in the morning.

OOC: If Sera’s felinx happens to... purloin a few of Karran’s things, will he be all that mad?

It would depend on what it was, really. There are certain items I would highly recommend staying away from.

"How are the first days going?"

I think they're going quite well. No one has attempted a mutiny yet, and the ship is still flying.

"What are your plans for the immediate future?"

I plan to make a push to encourage interpersonal roleplay.

"And for the distant?"

I plan to take steps to maximize new member retention and keep older members involved.

"What are you planning to do about the wiki?"

It is something leadership has discussed and we will be looking into it.

"Can you take a brief look into the Voidbreaker's page on the DJB site? My and several other members' names still aren't shown there."

It will be one of my first priorities.

"Are you gonna delegate jobs on the Voidbreaker? Like fictional roles for better roleplaying and also fiction updates?"

I have been considering something like this. I will have to consult several people's character sheets and we will see where they would best fit.

"Are there any plans for a Run On on the Voidbreaker?"

As of this moment, I am not aware of any, but it is certainly something that will be taken into consideration.

“How do you like your new position?”

I like it quite well. I hope it will be the beginning of a lasting career.

“Will your fist be harder than Leeadra’s or Emere’s fist?”

My fist will be exactly as hard as it needs to be, depending on the situation. All I will comment on the matter is that there appears to be a severe lack of personal discipline on this vessel.

“Are you a glutton for pain, is that why you jumped ship? Or is this an elaborate plan to get back at me, Karran?”

No comment.

“Do you feel any remorse for the scars I’ve left behind after our first meeting?”

Scars are lessons. I learned a lesson from you, and I would welcome many more if there was something to learn from them.

“Ready for an inspection soon?”

I assure you that Voidbreaker will be in excellent condition, whenever you are ready to come aboard.

“What did Karran learn from his masters? Think of them?”

Qyreia was a good master. She may not have been able to teach him much of the Force, but she had many other lessons to impart. Ruka on the other hand was a formidable opponent in their duel, and taught him a new way of thinking about the Sith. He learned what he needed to from these mentors, and will continue to learn from others. This is the path to true power, constant self improvement.

“What is important to him?”

Karran values honor, loyalty, and his allies. He values the ideal that those with power are in turn responsible for those without and those who abuse it are not fit to have authority.

“What are his goals?”

They are...lofty.

“Is he in fact that horny and in what sense?”

Yes.
