This should be a report that somewhat resembles the pre-GJW quality of reports, though I am half-asleep, so it might not :P

Announcements

• The GJW results have been announced! We placed 2nd, losing to Arcona, who were able to put a really good fight up against the rest of us. Congrats to them, and great job by all our participants. We pulled in our fair share of Novae and top ten placements, which is all we can ask for - great work all!

• We've had a host of new bodies in this past month or so, including Bobecc Varga, Seyda Norith, Proteus, Rakim Kalim, and Kyber. It's awesome seeing so many new faces and eager participants - be sure to say hello to them all whenever you get a chance.

• A ton of folk have earned medals from their GJW efforts - Jac, Bobecc, Kyber, Retden, Dru, and Kir all earned Dark Crosses. Cat, Raist, and Sid all earned Anteian Crosses. Seyda also snagged an Anteian Cross for her assistance helping the DGM in sorting through GJW grading. OUTSTANDING WORK TO EVERYONE!

• The Master-At-Arms put out a report that updates us on a few small items, with a promise of a lengthier one soon.

• The Consul of CNS has stepped down, leaving an open spot for those interested and with the requisite experiences. Check out the GM's post here.

Competitions

With the close of the season of GJW, Fading Light, and Gathering Darkness, we're back to our regularly scheduled programming, with a host of competitions coming on line for various interests.

I may be biased, but most notable is the Speed Sporcle Challenge - much loved and hosted by me, it opened tonight and runs for two weeks. Get in there and try to unseat Yacko from his dominance - he has placed 1st four times and 2nd twice. Someone please knock him down!

Final Word

We fought well, and we fought hard. I'm proud of the work everyone put in recently. Take time to rest, relax, and enjoy some casual DJBing. 5 of those 6 competitions above are fairly laid back and easy to work though, so feel free to jump in on those and get some more shinies!
