Contest of Champions!

Fading Light is over, and Taldryan was victorious. Although our dominance against all-comers was clear, the question of which House was truly supreme was not answered. As such, a competition was devised to pit the two Houses together, Dinaari and Ektrosis, utilizing highly skilled events (work with me here!) to find out which House is the best of the best.

The first round is over, and Ektrosis came out on top! Raist and Cat led the way for the House. While we also had the most participants, I know we can do a lot better overall.

The second round is now open! Once again it’s a fairly simple little game, that can get a bit addictive after awhile. Get in there and get as high a score as you possibly can in a single game and submit it! There are only 3 rounds overall, so let’s make sure we don’t let up the pressure!

A True Krath

Howie is always whining about not being mentioned in reports, for he is a whiner (but not a real Whiner). As such, I have decided to honour his recent achievements. Like the good Krath that he is, Howie completed the Savant for Writing and Philosophy. In completing that Savant he ticked off all the marks and became the 5th person in the club to achieve the highest rank in the SA Society.

Congratulations, Howie, and keep up the great work! Your scholastic achievements are now worthy of any Equite and go well with all the purple who clothe yourself in.

Activity you say?

Along with being a Studious little Panda, Howie was one of the most active Ekky members this week, doing all the competitions (more or less) as well as managing to earn himself a few Clusters along the way.

My wonderful Aedile (unlike this guy), who covered for me last week in the report writing, was also a busy-little bee this week. He earned himself a brand new GMRG rank, ran some competitions and even competed in some himself. He’s also flailing around in Fantasy Football, apparently.

The duo of Raist and Cat were also doing the things, leading Ekky as mentioned above. And thank you to Vodo, Retden and Rian (honourary Ekky for this competition) for getting their submissions in. Looking forward to seeing more submissions for them, along with many others!

The Force Awakened (in my pants)

There was a trailer that broke the internets. Honestly, I was fairly pleased with the trailer. I mean, it’s just a teaser so there’s no real context to anything, but it had stormtroopers, lightsabers, the Falcon and goddamn X-Wings. Really, it hit all the points it needed to get me excited.

There was also some more news about the next trailer, which I assume will give us a bit more context to things. Of course we have to wait until at least May to get it, but hey, that just means you can re-watch the current trailer a few more times.

Wide World of DB

The DGM Report, replete with lots of graphs and statistics, but alas no pie charts. It shows off the good work that Yacks has been doing in the Recruitment office. Also, there was some information about the upcoming GJW and the greater transparency in the planning stages (with Taldryan leading the way with comments and suggestions). Also, look for upcoming plot updates that is meant to tie up and explain the last few years of battling, since the actual released information is all over the damn place. Really looking forward to the plot update myself!

There was a lot of pew-pew, click-click information in the Gaming Report. I believe the new TOR expansion is out today, so if any of you are excited for that, then hop onto the servers and go kill a womp rat.

The Grand Master report was also out this week, with the biggest announcement being that near-completion of a few guides for the fictional side of the club.

Oh, and some guy was named the new Right Hand of Justice.
