But the hybrid wasn’t watching. He stared at Rissokt, and cupping the Trandoshan’s face, the man’s wounds slowly sealed. Not completely. But some. Rue wobbled and slumped, then rose, shaking, again.
“Sacrifice,” he whispered, and turned away, trying to plod off– to where, who knew. Just away, perhaps.
Gand bowed to Bril, then Dolot, and went with him, staying under his half arm like a doting nurse. Dolot examined Rissokt, then turned to Bril.
“What now?”
The Zabrak swallowed, definitely getting one of Kesh’s downy feathers in his mouth as he did so. He looked after the fractured bits of his team and their captured target, around at the marsh now full of small, innocent corpses, and felt as if he stood torn between each half of the Force itself.
“…we go home,” he answered, half-hollow, half-hallow. “Report back.”
They’d succeeded, after all.
Hadn’t they?

The Exarch reviewed the file, fingers tapping against the terminal. Fela, still thinking herself to be a lap-Cythraul, was splayed across his lap and snoring. So his hands had to wrap around her fluffy bulk to enter commands on the keys.
His eyes focused on reviewing the data. The orders had been to eliminate the target. However, with the capture of Rissokt, there would be a chance for...opportunity. The Inquisitors at the Sepulchrum would no doubt be able to do some discovery of information and possibly some rehabilitation.
Still, the team had completed the mission, indeed. Spinning it was a matter of semantics and paperwork. Among his few talents, Marick had become an expert in both.
Bounty 007: Complete
Congrats to: Bril, Dot, Atty, and Seals on their win!
Team Jabronies will be recorded as canonically having completed this bounty, with Marick signing off on it still being a successful mission despite not killing the target, which can be found on the Envoy Corps wiki.
With that taken care of: we’ve got some exciting new features to announce, and applications are now open for Exarch Staff once again!
So, for those that might not be familiar with who/what the Exarch Staff is/does, I figured I’d use a quick section here to highlight them.
These are your Exarch Staff team members and how to find them on Discord:
@attyabbeyattiferann
)@bograt
)@johnathanarkham
)If you want to tag all of them at once, you can also just use @Exarch Staff
as well.
I’m highlighting this to remind members that the Exarch Staff is here to help. They are leading their own individual efforts to run RPs targeting the larger Brotherhood (not isolated to Clans/sub-units), but are also here to answer questions, provide assistance, and help out however you need.
They are also the ones approving the RP’s after they’ve been submitted for either “Regular” or “DM-less” sessions. When closing your RP please make a habit of checking in with someone from staff, or respond to them when they do reach out.
We’re looking for additional staff to help with the Exarch’s mission. For anyone that misses hearing me talk in different chats on Discord, I’ll summarize it real quickly here: the purpose of the Exarch is to promote and support Role Playing activity in the Brotherhood. My primary goal is to make sure everyone is able to easily run and participate in RPs, and that everyone has a good time. Outside of that, however, there are some administrative challenges, housekeeping, documentation updating, and of course, managing my staff of awesome people. Now is your chance to join that team and lend a hand to our goals.
The most important thing I’m looking for in our next staff member is a desire to contribute to creating more RP opportunities for the club. I don’t care what rank or experience you have, just that you have a passion and desire to make the RP Society one of your primary focuses, beyond just joining RPs as a player.
If you are interested and think you can do the job, apply. Even if you’re not selected, it shows interest and lets me know that you want to possibly be involved in future things.
As an additional benefit, members of the Exarch Staff automatically accrue Golden Envoy Marks during their tenures on staff. This is done because you’re expected to be helping run and organize RP activity for others.
Please send all applications to: [Log in to view e-mail addresses] by July 13th, 2025.
We actually have a few really cool things to cover here for anyone that missed out on the Discord announcements.
Thanks to the assistance of both the previous and old new Headmaster, the RP Exam has been updated.
Even if you have already taken the exam in the past...this is your friendly reminder that it is our source of truth documentation for how to set up, run, and finalize your RPs.
The biggest change is the inclusion of the new Finalize Session window (where you can select DM-less
or DM’d
) and leave a fun/no comment. It also updates some of the language around
Also, a reminder when you’re submitting to an RP Competition, you need to make sure that (a) the competition is finalized and (b) that the URL is the first thing you enter into the text box. This will automatically pull in your team's players/word count into the website for the grader. Only one person on the team (doesn’t have to be the leader) needs to submit the URL to the competition.
You can see the guide for that here.
Despite being a sub-society, Roleplaying Society (Envoy Corps), alongside the ACC Society, your trophy progress will now display in your Dossier Administration tab with the other Societies. You will see a split bar for PGP (Player’s Gonna Play) and YCCT (You Can Certainly Try) with a % of progress towards your next rank. If you max out one or both, the bar will go green.
Example: Progress through both ranks
Example: Maxed in both Ranks
Thank you James for this awesome feature! You can also obviously see your progress on the Society Progress tab in your Admin panel under the Progress section.
We already offer a folder filled with resources to help you run your RP. To further help with what sometimes seems like the hardest step—starting or initiating the RP—we have two helpful documents you can take advantage of. They are not required, just things that help me when I run my RPs.
RP Starter Template: Outline is basically a way to pre-plan your RP before you type /rp create
. This is not required, but might be helpful if you’re just brainstorming!
We also have an RP Starter Template module, which you can make a copy of and use to set up a Map/Assets for your RP if you want a visual aid for yourself or your players. It has some pre-backgrounded maps you can use, but you can obviously just make your own or use whatever tool(s) you want or don’t want.
I like Google Slides because it’s free/easy to share and use. I can also access it from mobile in a pinch.
You’ll notice, however, that none of these talk about the “system” you’re running. That’s because technically, by default, RPs don’t even have to have Dice or a system involved. You can manually add Dice Maiden to any session, but you are not required to. There is no “standard” system you need to use. You can make up your own rules and homebrew your own ideas and interpretations.
The only framework you need to worry about is sticking to the Brotherhood’s sandbox for lore, which means tied into DJB character sheets and our possessions systems and worldbuilding.
Again, if you need any help starting up your first RP, please reach out to myself or the Exarch Staff. We’re here to help.
Here is the leaderboard from June 2025:
Again, this is just for fun, and a way for those who max out at Rank 12 in the Player Trophy to feel a bit of healthy, competitive spirit. There is no race or pressure :).

I wanted to make a quick note about something that came up in chat. The Envoy Corps, fictionally, is just something for us to play with narratively inside of our sandbox. The RP Society is coded and exists mostly for you, as a member, in regards to awards and unlocks. Fictionally, though:
Guided by the Exarch, the Envoy Corps tackles bounties, contracts, and missions that burnish the Brotherhood's reputation among the galaxy's power players. Renowned for their expertise and shrewdness, Envoys deploy in diverse pairs or teams, drawing upon specialists from all seven clans and their associated allies. With conditional advisement from the Emissary or Herald, the Envoy Corps seeks to bolster the Brotherhood's standing with its current and potential allies while countering propaganda being spread by their adversaries.
What this means is that Envoys are more like Adventuring parties, not diplomats, and The Exarch is a Guildmaster giving out assignments. They are a receptionist desk admin. They do not get to create the missions, they are just organizing, executing, and managing the cross-clan teams, which means they take cues from the Council. Envoys being successful ultimately makes the Brotherhood look good, but it’s not the Envoy Corps itself that is going on diplomatic meetings to shake hands and sign treaties. The way it currently is coded, this means that thematically Herald and Emissary are actually the diplomacy side of things.
Envoys are just the ones that get shit done adjusts sunglasses.

ImmigrantsEnvoys, we get the job done.First! Great report, Wally. It's always good to see the numbers and what updates have been made. Love seeing the fictional information about the organization, as well.
LOL the sunglasses.
