Quaestor Kendis on the Scene

Hello there! First big report for House Galeres since I took over as Quaestor. I'm glad to be here, and I'm looking forward to what we've been cooking up for the future.

If anyone has any thoughts or concerns for the clan, please do not hesitate to reach out to me, my virtual door is almost always open, and I will respond to messages as soon as I see them.

I’m hoping to run some fun story arcs for the house, and I guarantee there will be memes and shenanigans along the way.

Our one and only Bril Teg Erinos has graciously stepped up as my Aedile. Bril has been on fire since accepting the position, and I can't wait for all of you to see it as well.

Starosta Erinos Reporting for Duty

Meowdy, y’all.

It’s been a while since I’ve made one of these. But I’m glad to be back on summit and am looking forward to working with the other members of the Galeres team to give our fellow Galeresians plenty to engage with.

For those of you who don’t know me or just need a refresher, I’m Bril - Brilly Mays, Brilly Neutron, the Reverend Dr. Father Uncle Cousin Bril, some relation. A man of many names! But seriously, I’ve been a club member for two years now, most of which has been spent in Arcona after I transferred from Plagueis. I’m a lifelong martial artist, trained in jiu jitsu, taekwondo, judo, wrestling, and kickboxing; I’m also an assistant instructor at the gym I train at. I love science (especially biology, which was my focus in college), philosophy, and history. One day, when I acquire the funds to go back to college, I’ll finish my neuroscience degree. But enough of that boring stuff.

As it pertains to the club, my favorite activity is definitely the fiction side of things. I love roleplaying and often have people scratching their heads with how many I’m in at any given point (14 at the time this was written). Another passion of mine is worldbuilding and theory crafting, working on my own characters and helping people flesh out their own. Helping people bring their characters and worlds to life brings me a lot of joy.

As Koda said, I’ve hit the ground running since being brought on as Aedile, and I’m excited to share with you all one of the things I’ve been working on:

The Pathfinders

One thing that may be news to you all is the unique geography of our stellar backyard. The Dajorra System is located in the Kessel Sector, close to the region known as the Maw Cluster – a cluster of supermassive black holes most famously seen within the Solo film.

Our system’s location poses an interesting set of problems for the people of the Dajorra System: 1) the Maw Cluster warps space around it to such a degree that not just gravity is affected, but also nearby hyperlanes, thus affecting travel to and from the system, 2) the Maw Cluster and Akkadese Maelstrom create unusual weather phenomena that require constant monitoring, and 3) numerous spaceborne lifeforms live in our relative backyard, potentially posing a threat to our citizens.

That being said, I’ve created a unit within House Galeres and the Arconan Armed Forces to address these problems.

“The Pathfinder Brigade (PFB) is a specialized contingent within the Arconan Armed Forces. Created by and operating under the direct control of House Galeres, it serves as the premier reconnaissance and vanguard unit at Clan Arcona's disposal. Pathfinders are tasked with traversing some of the most treacherous terrain in the Outer Rim, acting as scouts and wardens in the far reaches of the Kessel Sector. The PFB's mission statement is to survey and chart courses through the hazardous terrain surrounding the Dajorra System—specifically the vast stretches of space rendered unstable due to the Akkadese Maelstrom and the Maw Cluster, a cluster of supermassive black holes.

Pathfinders regularly make contact with unpredictable spacefaring lifeforms—some as large as cruisers and more intelligent than one might expect, and others that are wholly indifferent if not outright hostile to other living beings. Therefore, every Pathfinder is trained not only in astrogation and piloting maneuvers, but also in survival, combat, and xeno-ecology.

The Pathfinders report directly to Bril Teg Erinos, the current Aedile of House Galeres, whose unique expertise in the Living Force, investigation, and mysticism has redefined the unit’s doctrine. Under Starosta Erinos' command, The PFB has grown from a small survey wing into a full-scale recon corps with a hybrid combat-science mission profile.”

The Brigade’s official introduction will come via fiction soon, which will also debut the impressive fleet we’ve procured and the commanders who will lead it into the far reaches of the Kessel Sector and beyond. I’m extremely excited to present this and share this with y’all, so I hope I can make this compelling to not just my fellow Galeresians, but to our Qel Dromans across the proverbial pond, as well! As is this just the first of many exciting things I have planned.

Chief Marshal, reporting in!

Hello everyone! If you haven’t seen me poking in whenever Mass Effect or Final Fantasy is mentioned, I’m the Battleteam Leader of the Dajorran Marshals. You can call me Luka or Logan. I’ve been ghosting around Arcona for about seven years, and I hope to bring you some more fun activities here soon.

The recent scouting competition has brought the Dajorran Marshals to investigate the planet Arconae Primus, where Dr. Bril Teg Erinos has found signs of an ancient civilization. Read the scouting debrief here. A competition exploring Site A-9 on Arconae Primus will take place mid-June.

In the meantime, I am working on a Training Grounds RP that will run in the background. With a social area, sparring ring, and shooting range, the RP will be a way to get to know your fellow Dajorran Marshals (and associates). Keep an eye on the Discord in Galeres chat for the RP ad.

My DMs are always open for any questions, concerns, or just to chat. I love hearing about others’ characters and the shenanigans they get into.
