Salutations Galeres!

As we’re moving toward the holidays, I know there are going to be a lot of things going on both within and outside of the club. Always remember to take time for yourself and for your family during these times. I know that some of you all struggle with seasonal depression, myself included, so if you need anyone to talk to please reach out.

On a more light hearted note, I’d like to welcome Nora Olen to the position of Arcona Proconsul! I’m looking forward to working with her, I know that Bril is excited.

We’ve got a lot planned for the upcoming year, so stay tuned for what we’ve got cooking for 2026!

Until then, Bril and I have some fun competitions to tide you over until Life Day shows up, just something casual to earn some extra credit, more details below.

Hey everyone,

We’re fast approaching Thanksgiving. For those of you who celebrate, drop by in Galeres Chat and let us know what you have planned for the holidays. For those who don’t, share with us what you’re planning on doing instead, or if there’s another holiday that you celebrate in Thanksgiving’s stead! I’ll be spending it with some good friends from my martial arts gym this year, I think. And in our wonderful Star Wars Club, I’m looking forward to all the new Life Day possessions that we’ll gain access to when the store opens on November 21st. Check out Thran’s report here where he goes over those details and a bunch of exciting updates for the club’s possessions system.

In other news, I wanted to take the time to give a warm welcome to our newest Proconsul, Nora Olen! Nora is practically a force of nature as far as club activity and presence goes. She’s always engaged with members across clans and interests, whether those be fiction, art, or gaming. She’s outgoing, easy to get along with, and willing to work with members to help them get the most out of their experiences here in the club, and to make the club better as a whole.

I’m personally very excited to see her take up the mantle of Arcona’s Shadow Scion, especially because Nora is my master, and as such, our history goes back to my time in Clan Plagueis when I first joined the club. So welcome, Nora. I’m excited to see the new direction you help steer the clan in!

Fiction Update

_“You know, this is my least favorite part of the job,” said Starosta Erinos, who placed his datapad faced down before leaning forward to massage the bridge of his nose. Within Quaestor Kendis’ office on Fort Blindshot, his desk was so thoroughly covered in paperwork that only small patches of lacquered wood peeked through a mess of encrypted datapads, ship manifests, military readiness reports, and more. They’d been at this for what seemed like an eternity, going through various reports that their subordinates had prepared for them, approving supply requests and discussing steps forward for the system’s vast armed forces. But Bril’s chronometer told him it had only been three hours. “I’d much rather be out in the field, alongside our soldiers. Or investigating some ancient artifacts, or even teaching.”

Koda groaned and leaned back in his chair. “Things were so much easier when not needing to worry about diplomatic relations.” He sat back up and rubbed his eyes, before mulling over another datapad. “But someone has to do the work, and I’ll be damned if I let someone who would make things worse take the position. We just need to plan for more opportunities to get out there.” He pointed to a section of the report he was reading over. “Like here, ‘Shipping path delays due to cosmic disturbances.’ We might need to look into charting new shipping lanes or clearing some kind of path.”

Bril leaned forward to have a closer look at the section of the report Koda highlighted, his eyebrows knitting together in contemplation. “Navigating the Maw Cluster was always difficult, but it's been doubly so since the war with the Children. Gravitational anomalies, sightings of strange and unfamiliar wildlife. None of it feels right … It's like the Force is holding its breath.”

The zabrak rose from his chair and stepped to the window, and peered out into a distant field where soldiers of the Arconan Armed Forces were running drills in their PT uniforms. “Sooner or later, something is going to come along and make these incidents seem insignificant in comparison. And it's our job to ensure we're ready to face whatever or whomever that is.”_

Harvest Festival Competition

Now, I want to take the rest of my report to highlight a competition that Quaestor Kendis and I put together to ensure that you all have some low effort comps to earn yourselves some shiny credits in the lead up to the Celebration Store opening.

House Galeres is hosting a festival to commemorate the change of seasons and to foster good will between the people of the Dajorra System. You can find the details of the competition, which is open to all of Clan Arcona, with this link. Like I said, this should be an easy way for you to get some credits and experience, so go nuts and do the things!
