Great Jedi War Gaming Reminder: Rites of Combat
As we prepare for the upcoming Great Jedi War, members are reminded that all Gaming activities during the event will operate under the Brotherhood’s established Rites of Combat (RoC). These policies exist to ensure fair play, consistency, transparency, and sportsmanship across all official gaming competitions and events.
Please be sure to review the full Rites of Combat: https://wiki.darkjedibrotherhood.com/view/Rites_of_Combat
Participants Should Be Aware That:
- All Great Jedi War Gaming competitions may contain event-specific rules approved by the Fist, and those rules will take precedence where noted.
- Members participating in competitive gaming activities are required to use the DB Gaming Matchmaking system and follow all reporting requirements, including screenshot submission deadlines.
- Note: Submissions made without use of the DB Gaming Matchmaking system will be denied.
- While DB Voice chat is not a requirement. It is heavily encouraged when possible.
- Gaming activities require a minimum of two DJB members to qualify for Clusters of Fire.
- All gaming groups must clearly designate the game being played and, where possible, the game mode being played. Groups should only be used for a single game/activity at a time to ensure transparency and proper matchmaking visibility.
- Match dodging, falsified submissions, unsportsmanlike conduct, and abuse of matchmaking systems are all enforceable violations under the Rites of Combat and may result in penalties ranging from warnings to gaming bans or disqualification from events.
What is Match Dodging?
Match Dodging occurs when a member intentionally avoids or excludes another member from participating in gaming activities where the DB Gaming Matchmaking system is required.
Examples of Match Dodging include, but are not limited to:
- Ending or disbanding a party when a specific member joins.
- Leaving a group when a certain member joins the party.
- Creating a separate party for the same activity while intentionally excluding members from another active group that still has open slots.
- Repeatedly avoiding participation with certain members in required matchmaking environments.
The expectation during the Great Jedi War is that members participate in good faith and make reasonable efforts to include other eligible participants when using the DB Gaming Matchmaking system.
Members with concerns regarding behavior, conduct, or ongoing issues with another member should contact the Fist privately rather than attempting to avoid the system requirements.
The overall goal of the Gaming event structure during the Great Jedi War is to encourage broad participation while maintaining a fair and competitive environment for all members involved. Members are strongly encouraged to review the full Rites of Combat prior to the start of the war to ensure familiarity with current policies and expectations.
When in doubt, ask. Reach out to Uji or Turel at any time if you have questions or concerns regarding the Rites of Combat or any specific Gaming events.

Yes, good
A few things to remember about gaming during a war:
1) When in doubt, ask! - No seriously, if you don't know ask an organizer. We don't bite, I promise.
2) If you think you've found or someone tells you about this "one weird trick" to getting insane amounts of clusters it's probably questionable and worth asking the organizers about - If it feels shady, it probably is. Let's keep the competition fair and above board.
3) If you try to post your groups and include others in good faith you will be fine - You're not going to get hauled in front of the chamber for making a mistake. Be transparent, be inclusive and ask if you have any questions and you'll be fine.
Don't cut corners. Don't worry about speeding through the things. And most certainly, get out there and have fun with this. Last War I made some of the best friends and memories yet in the DB just trolling and throwing fusion coils at people in Halo. We're here to have fun and do stuff together. The points come afterward.
