The landscape of Daleem stretched out before the Chandrilan as he stood on the rock formation known to the locals as Prominence, his arms folded as the wind flicked the tip of his blonde ponytail.

Down below, construction droids furiously moved stones and fused metal with their production tools. The luminescent trails created by shuttle and freighter engines could be seen as they ascended to, and descended from, the atmosphere. They loaded and unloaded their precious materials and cargo, depositing their vital resources into the makeshift spaceport very near to the skeletal state of a growing foundation. The ships were a lifeline, one that needed to be protected at all costs. The Black Sun learned that lesson the hard way as they were pushed back. Daleem was under new supervision and the Guardians of Odan-Urr were not to be trifled with, nor were the Guilds they were tasked with protecting. Still, Marl sensed something greater stirring in his subconscious as he marveled at the inherent beauty in rebirth after calamity. He just couldn't put his finger on it, not yet.

Fixing his gaze beyond, he could see that the spaceport itself was more developed than the main structure and was surrounded by makeshift dwellings and shops that were in various stages of development. Most were temporary, others were becoming more permanent as the inhabitants of Daleem saw this as an opportunity to line their pockets with off-worlder credits or trade goods. While it was nameless and devoid of structure, it already possessed purpose and spirit. The formation of not just a base was in the works, but perhaps this was a city in the making.

"This Gand is impressed, sir."

Marl smirked as he heard the familiar chatter, and looked back over his shoulder.

"Ahh, Essik, the punctual one," Marl chuckled, "it's good to see you old friend."

"Those ships could be more efficient if they-"

"Yes, yes," Marl stroked his chin, "that's the sort of insight that makes a weathered old soul such as myself send out invitations."

"It was well received. Essik looks forward to overseeing the procedures that will benefit your band of Jedi. The arm of Odan-Urr was in need of a more suitable home. Essik is glad that you have found it, here in the midst of regrowth."

"As am I. Yet I fear the locals will need some convincing."

"Then we are lucky to have an aspiring politician leading from the front." Essik's dry tone would have appeared sincere to those unfamiliar with him. Marl just laughed.

"Those were the aspirations handed down to me by my father." His thick fingers came to rest on Essik's carapace. "Oh, I nearly forgot!"

Essik angled his head slightly.

"Congratulations are in order."

"Sir?"

"You've been promoted to Aedile. We all look forward to those revisions you'll be making as foreman, Colonel." His hand traced the horizon.

Essik clicked his mandible.

Welcome, friends, to yet another House Guardian Corps Quaestor report!!

Over the past month, Essik and I have been brainstorming and working on fresh ideas that will, I hope, pique your interest, keep you all engaged, and spark your creativity.

Things that are currently in the oven include.

• - A New Storyline: Without revealing too much, I'd like to say that we are approaching this in a new way and are developing a new Cult-like enemy that will be introduced.

• - Current Storyline: We've been pushing back against the Black Sun here and there. They will be worked into the new Storyline but will be a small piece of a much bigger puzzle.

• - Run-On: Expect this to drop VERY soon as this will be a prologue for the new Storyline. If you want your characters to be involved and to get a taste of what's coming, I encourage you all to participate or at the very least follow along. More details for this will be sent out separately so you can expect an announcement when it officially drops.

• - We Call Daleem Home: Some of you may have noticed that Essik and I have created a mini series, light-hearted in nature, just to give you some quick and fun things to participate in. These competitions are centered around building up our new bases and participation in these are a good way to earn some medals and recognition.

• - Recruitment: A necessary step towards growth, I have been casually recruiting and I know that Essik has been doing some of his own. We will continue to focus on this throughout our tenure as leaders. If you have any friends or just know someone that loves Star Wars or the types of activities that we provide, talk to them or shoot them a message. We have nothing to lose but everything to gain. You don't have to be in a leadership role to recruit. Anyone can and is encouraged to do it!!

• - (Personal Development): Some of you have probably noticed that I changed my name, glares at Revak, and character. I plan to introduce him in the RO and Story Arch. Essentially, as Quaestor, I wanted to play as someone that you would look at and go 'now that's a Guardian!' - while I love Gui as a character and while he will still be with us all in spirit, he didn't really fit the mold for what we needed as a leader. For now, he is gonna be sidelined.

Big things are coming to the Guardian Corps and we have been working to bring you all the experience you joined for. Whether you're a new member, a returning member, or a veteran. We want everyone to enjoy being here and we want nothing more than to see you all having fun. This will always be a safe space that you can retreat to.

Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen,

This is just a quick addition to say I’m returning to the rank of Aedile and I’ll be working to bolster the Guardian Corps’ position and help with general improvements in the months to come. In addition, as Gui (Marl?) cited above, if you have any concerns, questions, or even ideas, my door is always open. We’re happy to hear out anyone wishing to contribute and help the House in any way.

There’s a few ideas we’ll be rolling out over the next couple of weeks alongside a multitude of competitions. We’ll be making each of these to be as accessible and easy to get to grips with as possible. We Call Daleem Home is a good example of the short, sharp, style we’re aiming for on the whole with competitions, and to keep going from here on.

What are your goals for the Guardians? Where do you see them in, say, a years time?

Essik: A House with solid activity, some good storylines, and a clear role within Odan-Urr as its first strike unit. Anything else atop of that is a bonus.

Marl: This has been an exciting time for us as leaders. We've been digging in and brainstorming storylines, competitions, building our lore and wiki pages etc

Within the next year I'd like for things to stabilize as we settle into our roles as Guardians. I would like to begin seeing the fruits of our labor and I would love to see our activity levels soar. The future is bright and there are vendettas on the horizon.

Aura asks

Do your office chairs have backs on them?

Essik: No, we had to sacrifice that for the budget. It was either proper chairs or more high explosives, and I think we can safely say we made the right choice.

Marl: No chairs, we don't have time to sit around in HGC!!
