Herald's Halloween: A Nancora Haunting

Earlier this year, the Shroud Syndicate asked for your help in reclaiming Nancora with the Shrouding New Ground event. The Shroud Syndicate has returned asking for further help in getting to the bottom of the mystery plaguing the residence of Nancora.

Starting today and running through the entire month of October, the Shroud Syndicate proudly presents the Herald’s Halloween.

During this event all competitions will award DOUBLE CLUSTERS of Graphite! Need some levels in the Shroud Syndicate? Time to get 'em when it's hot.

Intro

The Shroud Syndicate has assembled a task force to investigate several sites across Nancora where scavenger crews have vanished, fled in terror, or returned speaking of curses and other impossible phenomena. As eerie tales begin to spread and the nights grow longer, the Syndicate sees the premise of opportunity that lies beneath the superstitions. Individuals have been dispatched to investigate and to brave whatever lurks within, to recover relics, technology, valuables— or anything else worth stealing.

The primary site of this haunting is that of an abandoned mining settlement in Nancora’s Badlands, known as Vandor’s Claim, that was evacuated during the planet’s devastation and never resettled. Most of its structures remain standing, along with old speeders, mining equipment, and personal belongings left behind by the former inhabitants. Strangely, a neglected pumpkin grove on the outskirts of town has begun to grow again, its vines spreading through cracked streets and abandoned lots despite the surrounding wasteland. Scavengers report that old power systems sometimes activate without warning, and fragmented holorecordings occasionally begin playing throughout Vandor’s Claim. More troubling are reports of humanoid figures appearing in windows and streets, before vanishing when approached. Syndicate intelligence believes a secure industrial vault or buried storage facility of relics may exist somewhere hidden within the abandoned settlement.

Details

This is a Herald-Hosted event. All the competitions are graphics related, but we have prepared a variety of difficulties with hopes of having a competition available for everyone.

There are 5 different competitions in total all offering double clusters. Totalling 56 Clusters of Graphite!

The two easy competitions include: Carving a Jack-o-lantern and a coloring page.

The two regular graphics competitions include: Draw your character in their costume! Draw the mysterious terror that haunts Nancora.

The advanced competition includes: Draw a spooky scenery of Nancora.

Participation

If you participate in the event you will be gifted a spooky day inspired accessory to place on your dossier. The final design for the accessory will be revealed once the competitions close!

Scoring and Placements

Overall scoring will be done through points. The score will be calculated based on top placements overall in each competition. Ties will be broken by the number of competitions entered, broken further by the number of higher placements.

1st place: 4 points 2nd place: 3 points 3rd place: 2 points All other participants: 1 point
