Hello everyone, Today, I’m happy to announce new additions to the Herald staff and I will also give a quick update on the subject of Artificial Intelligence in art competitions.

New Staff

It is my pleasure to announce the new additions to our staff. First, I would like to congratulate Soccora, who will take up the mantle of Praetor. Since joining the team in January, she’s been a constant presence, eager to help and offer advice, the kind of energy she now brings to her new position and the many, oh-so-many, grueling, possibly maiming projects I shall ruthlessly heap onto her. May the Force be with her.

As she vacates her previous seat, I can now bring two new magistrates onto the team. I am happy to appoint Aiden Lee Deshra and Saal Kesyk, who both show great potential and an eagerness to give back to the community I admire. I look forward to working with you two and am excited to see what you can achieve!

AI-generated Art In Competitions

There are growing concerns about AI-generated art receiving clusters and being pitted against member-drawn art in competitions. I wanted to acknowledge these concerns and let you know I hear you. It has always been part of my plan to address the matter in my future overhaul of the Shroud Syndicate society, but at least some changes can be made ahead of time without waiting on the whole, complete package.

I’m not ready to announce what these changes will be yet, as there are still some options and key factors to consider, but I wanted you to know that it is being worked on.
