New Tython
NSD Fey'lya's Last Stand - Bridge Sanctuary Station Orbit

The crippled bulk of the space station sat adrift in space, small forms crawling across its mass with small lights and tools. All about, small pulses of light could be seen, as specialized equipment repaired superstructure and mended the outer hull. Portions that had been blown apart or otherwise damaged were removed, as their replacements were dragged into place. Finally, Liam got the confirmation signal on his comlink; the station was ready for power.

"Light it up," He said into the reciever, his voice slightly hoarse with age.

In a choppy, sector-by-sector arrangement, lights came back on within the station; figures inside tested equipment, as starfighters slowly drifted around its bulk, surveying for leaks or damages. After a few tests, pressurization was restored, and the real work had begun.

The aging Jedi smiled. The war for New Tython was over; now, peace could finally have a chance to grow.

Return of the Light has concluded!

Results for a few events are still forthcoming - you guys can seriously write a lot - but overall, the event is done! Cy Thuron and his Monarchy have been kicked off of our world, and it is ours once again. I wanted to give thanks to every member of Odan-Urr for making this happen; any House could have run an event. Only you guys could have made this one so fun to write, so hard to judge, and so exciting to watch. Well-done, Odanites!

With this completion, our Wiki is about to see a flurry of activity. Old articles, like the Harakoan, Tythonian, and Menat Ombo articles, are about to be brought up to date and enhanced; new ones, like the Treaty of Menat Ombo and the Independent Colonies, are going to be added. We are about to launch into full-scale development, people! This is peace-time; there will be tensions, and there will be struggles, but New Tython will know lasting peace.

That, we will make sure of.

A lot of exciting news is here for us to report today - the plethora of Odanites in big positions got a great addition with the ascension of our very own Turel Sorenn to Professor of Combat Studies. Our membership, both old and new, has exploded; we now have the active membership to rival that of the Great Clans, and a stronger community than I've ever seen. We are working toward new interactions with other units, expanded relevance in the Brotherhood, and even an upcoming Feud with HSP; stay tuned for news about that, and hit up the comments section with anything I missed!

The ACC Fading Light Tournament is into Round 2, with several of our members rising to the next round! I want to congratulate all those who fought in the first round - some of you really made the Dark Siders sweat - and give words of encouragement to the remaining warriors of the Light. Show this Dark Brotherhood what happens when you underestimate a Jedi!

The Shadow Academy's databanks have recently been expanded! The Journeyman Hall now features three new Gaming courses, Gaming 101, 102, and 103, and these are just the first in a series of new upcoming courses to educate the gamers of the Dark Brotherhood. In addition, the Academy Staff and Odan-Urr have been collaborating to audit, update, and expand the Light Side Courses - keep your eyes peeled for news of their work! Get out there, and grab some more data for the Arca Praxeum's libraries!

New updates on the next Star Wars movie have been released, including J.J. Abrams' new campaign, A Force For Change. It's a great initiative, one that includes the possibility of you - the participant - being in a Star Wars movie! Check it out on Youtube. In addition, new actresses Lupita Nyong'o and Gwendoline Christie have been announced for the movie, the full details of which can be seen in Halcyon's post below. Added to the upcoming Star Wars Rebels, which looks really, really cool, it looks to be an interesting year for Star Wars fans across the globe.

The battle for New Tython is over; it is free again, and its peoples have divided into allied, peaceful nations. Everywhere, reconstruction efforts take place, the colonies and tribes rebuilding what was theirs and returning their world to its former glory. All around, a new element spreads throughout the populace, seeded by the Jedi and maintained by the leaders of the four nations; for the first time, New Tython knows true peace.

Now, we look to the stars; we will always protect our home, but its war is over. Ours has just begun.

I foresee a great series of conflicts with the Brotherhood; everywhere, they will seek to expand their grasp, and we will be there in the shadows to stop them. Our eyes and ears will spread to other worlds. Jedi will be found there, hiding in plain sight, waiting to combat injustice; rebellions will be fostered, and aided. Prisoners and victims will be freed. Targets of importance to the Dark Side will be taken down. It will happen slowly, it will be a constant struggle, but it will happen...

Freedom is coming, and we are its herald.

Rhiann asks: "What's your favorite book?"

That would have to be Paradise Lost, by John Milton. Not out of any religious belief - I just like how he approaches the imagery of the Fall, the universe before Creation, and the actual changes to Earth following Adam and Eve's decisions. That, and it presents an interesting point; innocence is no defense.

Wally asks: "Who would win in a fight - Kal or Liam?"

That's an interesting question for me. Kal and Liam represent two different ideologies - and yet, both are pretty similar in some ways. Neither is shy about doing what needs doing, and neither one is above the lesser evil. However, Kal's all about personal success, about making sure the chess game goes in his favor and never risking himself without reward; Liam, on the other hand, would stand before an army to protect his people and would choose freedom over security any day.

So, I guess the answer is that I now have to start writing segments of such a fight, and slowly feeding them to you at a snail's pace. :P

Mirus asks a few questions: "Now that we've finished Return and are handling its clean-up, where - fictionally - will Odan-Urr be headed after this incredibly large event?"

That's an interesting question, and the answer is - realistic peace, and expansion. We're at a point where New Tython's nations are finally starting to be, and soon will be, strong and stable. This means no more major planetary conflicts and strife, but it opens the door to a whole new avenue for us - conventional civilization problems. Crime, terrorism, political plots, conflicts with non-Treaty groups. Now's when we stop shoring up what we have, and start exploring new angles.

As for off of New Tython, we'll be moving away from an insular group and into a Brotherhood-wide role. We have the unique ability to move around, hit from the shadows, and quietly engage the whole damn DJB without a massive war. This is why we stabilized New Tython; now, we can move around. We can pursue new storylines on distant worlds, take on new Feuds and events, and turn new pages in our future. This is going to be very exciting, and it's not a six-month event - it's a huge evolution, spanning the next few years, and there's no way to know for sure where it's going. All we know for sure is this: It's going to be awesome.

"Are there any major upcoming member-driven projects outside of the Wiki project?"

We're about to have a plethora of events, including competition generation, Feuds, and massive new systems - all of which will need content creators. In my experience, the best way to grow Odan-Urr is to define the lines of where we absolutely can't go, usually only a few places, and let the people take over; even if I could keep up and micromanage it all, which I can't(you crazy bastards), I wouldn't want to. The content is consistently awesome. It's always new, exciting, and well-made. So, in short - our House needs crowdsourcing, and there will be more.

"Where do you see Odan-Urr in six months' time? Other than just being a Clan, of course. That's a given. ;)"

Optimism win. I like it. :)

In all reality? I see Odan-Urr in a new, somewhat difficult, role. It will be hard - we will be working with the whole DJB. We'll be churning out Knights and Equites, pumping out quality content, and competing with people all over the place. If we want that Clanhood, it's not enough to just be loud and proud - we need to start winning. Which we will, because we are; every time we compete, we get a little better. Every event, we place a little higher or get involved more and more. So, in short - I know exactly where we'll be in six months.

On top of the world.

2014 is now at the mid-point, and people, we have never been stronger. We've more than tripled our Knightings from last year; we're active on IRC, to the point that we're now more active than any other unit's chat channel. Our presence in leadership, competitions, and placements is growing like a weed, as is our entrenchment in this Dark Brotherhood. With another year or so, we won't just be here to stay - we'll be the first Light Side Clan. Our members, Journeyman and Equite alike, are getting promotion after promotion; it won't be long now until we see our first Elder.

Odan-Urr is an exciting place right now. We're developing like wildfire; our events are getting more interesting and varied. Our people are competing at a higher level and the noise we're making is growing from a murmur to a shout. It was once said to me that a big fish can make a bigger splash in a small pond - but that no longer applies. We're all the big fish here - we all kick a lot of ass, and our pond, while small, is awesome. It just doesn't have enough food for us all anymore.

Good thing that Brotherhood's nice and plump, eh?

Signed and Sealed,

Liam Torun
Consular Battlelord

Damn, I really did miss a lot of questions when my net was being a derp.

I'd love to see at least one person from HOU get pretty darn far in the ACC. Because we need to show everyone that our hype is our drive! There is also a significant lack of HOU HYPE in this, sir. Come on, you know you wanna.

Tryin'. ;)

Also, ^.

Good looking report, killer. Keep it up.

excellent report Jedi. Like how the Jedi house don't look "standard" jedi.
