Guess who's back?

Pinnacle

Aliso

35 ABY

Malice had been back only a few days when her master summoned her. Her master who was now the head of their clan.

Leaving Ora with Aiya and the droids, she made her way through the Pinnacle and up to the Consul kept their office. Instead of knocking, she simply used the force to gently communicate to Selika’s mind that she was there. She didn’t need fully formed thoughts. Just a nudge to show she was there. Selika, however, was much more adept in her own telepathy. She formed full phrases easily. It certainly made their communication much simpler.

“Enter,” came the thought.

Hopefully, she wasn’t interrupting anything. Malice walked in, shutting the door behind her and bowed in one fluid motion.

“You called for me, Master?” she said, raising her eyes again. The room had changed a bit since she’d been there last, when Teylas was still the one who sat in the throne-like chair.

“Yes, I did,” Selika answered, crossing her legs in her chair. “I trust that you have regained your health after creating your small...human.”

“Yes, master, I have completely returned to normal. If you have any tasks for me, please do not hesitate to ask.”

“I don’t hesitate,” Selika responded almost immediately. “And I do have a task for you. I want you back in the summit. Being the leader of the clan has its perks, but it also has its dangers. I need someone I know I can rely on and trust without question. The others obey because they are ordered to. You obey because you want to, is that correct?”

“Yes, Master. You know that you saved me and gave me purpose. It is only fitting that I repay that in any way necessary.” Malice said, a phrase she’d recited many times in the past. She’d seen the relationships between other masters and their apprentices. They were not as close or as trusting of one another. Nor did they seem to remain close once the training was complete. Malice had been a knight for months, now, but she saw no reason to end the respect and loyalty to Selika.

“Excellent. Then I’ll be setting you in Karness Murr. There is an open Aedile spot under Furios. Do you know him?”

“I know of him,”

Indeed, she had heard quite a few things about him. Mostly due to how unreliable he was, often drunk, and acted on impulse rather than thinking things through and coming up with a plan.

“He can be aggressive when stressed, but it’s nothing you can’t handle. Just try to leave your…”

“Ora”

“Try to leave your Ora at home. You have enough droids to guard her, I’m sure. Have you had any word from Kalon yet?”

“No, master.”

“Has he even met his child?”

“Once.”

“I see. One less distraction I suppose. Now, you’re free to go. Your droids can move your things into the Aedile office. I expect reports if anything happens that I don’t know about. You’re dismissed.”

“Of course, Master.”

Five hours later

Why did working with 16 droids have to be so hectic? They were all determined to help, despite whether they had arms or not. Conky shuffled forward, carrying a few things on his head, which Vide placed in different areas of the office before going back for more.

"Kaila, where would you like this?" Alexa drawled from the doorway.

"Don't call me that, and you can put that box on the desk."

The pilot droid did as she was told before walking back out, making sure she rolled her visual processors as she did so. Perhaps Malice would send the droids back home so she could finish the unpacking herself. That would likely get things done quicker.

"Copaani gaan?"

"Su'cuy gar." she snapped immediately, not even bothering to turn.

"Ni kar'tayl gar darasuum."

"Ne shab'rud'ni..."

The man sighed behind her, and she heard him lean against the wall.

"Where is Ora'esh'lyc?"

"Perhaps you'd know if you bothered to be here,"

"Kaila-"

"Do not call me that! Haar'chak..."

"Mhi solus tome, mhi solus dar'tome."

There was a moment of silence. All Malice wanted to hear was her own breathing, her own thinking. She'd wanted to work and get her job finished. Was that too much to ask? He really had to return now?

However, the moment of silence was broken by a loud bang right outside the door, which was quickly followed by Mortem bursting in and pointing his electro staff at the Mandalorian. As Malice turned, she managed to actually get a look at the man behind her.

He didn’t look very good. She could immediately point out a few scars that hadn’t been there before. His hair was a bit longer than he usually kept it, as well.

"Stand down, Mortem. He's not a threat to me."

The Magnaguard did not lower his weapon, but his form relaxed somewhat.

"Now, if you don't mind, I have some work to do. If you still want to talk, you can go spend some time with your daughter back home," Malice snapped, growing more irritated.

"Mal..."

"That's an order."

Sighing again, this time the man listened, and Malice was alone with her thoughts once more.

Remember Me?

Long time no see, Plagueis! I'm sure you're all jumping out of your seats to see that I'm back. Honestly, I missed you guys. Had to take a bit of a mental health break but now I'm feeling mighty fine and ready to start pulling my weight around the clan.

Most of you should know me, but for any that are new, hey! I'm Malice, or just Mal for short. I can usually be found on the internet in some way, playing Overwatch, buying too many Gudetama things, or sleeping. I'm married to Abaddeer, but that does not mean Malice is in a relationship with him. In fact, she doesn't like him very much. And she's got some complications going on with her own relationship, as you can see. Just try not to bring it up and I'm sure it'll pass.

Now, without further ado, let's move onto the report!

Competitions

I've got a few great competitions for you to check out, today!

The first, from our very own Kelly, we've got a comp to test your trivia skills! Think you've got what it takes? Check it out HERE.

Another comp, straight from our own clan is from our blue pal, Laren, who's got a Cluster race going! He's got a few different ways you can participate, all of which are gaming themed, so if you're feeling the need for speed, go ahead and click right HERE.

Now, as far as my personal pick goes for the outside clan comps, I personally have enjoyed participating in THIS fiction comp, where you get to incorporate music into your writing, and THIS puzzle, which is a beautiful picture to work with. I highly recommend both!

And now, we move onto a new segment, which I am choosing to call...

Sith Etiquette with Lady Malice

Table Manners and You

It is important, as esteemed members and force users of Clan Plagueis, that we remember to keep our image in mind at all times. Yes, it is perfectly acceptable to strike fear into the hearts of our enemies, and even our own clan members at times. However, it is also important to remember that we are Sith, and we should be proud to be Sith, and our actions should reflect our superiority and practically scream, "I'm better than you, and if you disagree, you will be killed in your sleep."

As such, we begin with table manners. Despite our often shaky relationships with the rest of the clans in the Brotherhood, there may very well be times that a truce is attempted. Should there be an extravagant dinner, you must all be properly prepared to represent your clan proudly.

Step One

Interactions

Before or after the meal, it is usually polite to mingle with the other guests and make small talk. However, considering the circumstance, this is an excellent time not for small talk, but for gathering intel about those who could one day become our enemies. Disguise your words as friendly chatter while digging for their weaknesses.

Step Two

Eating

When the food has finally arrived, take care to ensure that it is not poisoned or laced with anything that could potentially leave you at the mercy of others. Even the Jedi are not so noble that they wouldn't poison you for an easy kill. However, if you are the one doing the poisoning, take the first bite yourself. Showing your own ease during the meal will have a lingering effect and make them drop their guard. (This also applies to drinking)

Step Three

Ending the meal

Once your meal is over, it is polite to set your silverware on your plate and set your napkin on top. This shows the measly servers that you are finished, and if your plate is not removed immediately, there will be consequences. The sooner the plate is gone, the sooner the table becomes clear. it will serve as stable footing should a fight break out as everyone is leaving. Remember, however, that having the upper ground does not guarantee you victory. Please, do not learn this the hard way. You will not gain a robotic body. Aiya will devour your limbs.

In Closing

I'm glad to be back, and I hope you enjoyed this report! I've been working on it for the last week, as today is my friend's birthday and I'd like to spend it with her. Now, you may go about your daily lives, but first I have a question for you. These reports are often just one sided. I give you the news and you reply with a few words or phrases. But what if it was more of a conversation? I want to hear your thoughts.

Recently, we were unfortunate enough to suffer the passing of Carrie Fisher, or Space Mom, as I frequently call her. The Star Wars team has confirmed that they will not be using the CGI used in Rogue One to keep her in, so after the new movie in December, the rest will not have her in them, despite being told that Leia would play a fairly central role.

My question to you is, what do you think they'll end up doing to tie the story together? Will they rewrite everything? Will they simply make the excuse that she's away on business? Let me know what you think!

Bye

Welcome back......

......should been titled Malice in Wonderland

Selika throwing some shade at the... miniature human. I approve. :)

The miniature human takes the bants so we don't have to.

Welcome back, Mal!

I speak baby, so we're all good on that front.
