House Sunrider Report #102019

VSD Sunrider

Near Sorillis

Kiast System

Tisto sat at his desk staring at the paperwork he was supposed to do. Thanks to the malfunctioning terraformer on Daleem and immediate war following that, he had been granted the rank of Quaster of House Sunrider, and a full scope of emergency powers. Now he was looking at the result of such an action. A pile of paperwork nearly the size of another person. Why paper copies were needed for everything was beyond him. To make matters worse Essiks had stepped down from his role as Aedile. The boxer sighed before pushing himself out of a chair.

He wandered around the corridor for a bit trying to look like he was not looking for a patsy. It was difficult, most of the soldiers on the Sunrider probably wouldn’t want to deal with this either. His mind briefly wandered to handing the role off to Ethan, but he was told not to give Ethan access to some of the security codes that came with the role. Apparently there was a list of things Ethan wasn’t supposed to do, and one of the security codes that came with the job would let him alter that list. As he turned another corridor wandering towards the mess, he found a perfect person. A Zabrak in light robes was wandering around the ship as well.

“Ah Revak, I have been looking for you!” Tisto said quickly, as to not let the man get a word in edgewise. “Since the state of emergency has ended, we need a real leader. Someone who can really hold everything together. So since I still have my emergency powers, I hereby name you Quasters, and resign down to Aedile. Your paperwork is in the Quaster office. Here is your key card. I will leave it up to you to decide if you want to keep these title names, change it etc. I will be keeping the rest of my emergency powers so don’t even think about trying to fire me. Anyway have fun. I’ll be on Solyiat if you need me.”

Before Revak could respond, Tisto took off towards the shuttles chuckling to himself. He sent out a message to a contact of his to meet him at The Drunken Radusa, a bar on Solyiat named after a particularly dangerous ocean beast.

A Sephi in a well pressed military uniform entered the bar hesitantly. As he opened the door a mixture of steam and smoke burst forth from the building. Grimacing, the man walked in to meet the one who called him here. General Jafan Anasaye normally wouldn’t come to a place like this, but he didn’t have much of a choice. His contact in Sunrider wasn’t exactly welcome in the Vatali military bases Jafan would prefer to be in. Tisto waved him over to a table in the back loaded with shot glasses full of some golden-brown liquid. The Sephi sauntered over and took a seat, glaring at the Kiffar.

“Hello Quas--” Jafan began.

“Nope. Don’t know what titles Revak is going to assign the roles, but I stepped down from that. Back to second in command. Makes it easier to move around. Much less paperwork,” the boxer chuckled. “What’s the status on the terraformer for Daleem?”

“This is classified intel you know. Is this really the best place for this discussion?” the general asked.

“Well, how about a bit of an exchange then,” Tisto grinned. “Classified information of course. I own this place. Under the table of course. Don’t want the locals thinking the new nobles are taking over. Frak I hate our new position on the planet.”

“You bought a bar for this meeting?” Jafan asked. “And the staff?”

“Droids. I don’t trust Ethan enough to have organic employees. So, what's the status?” the boxer chuckled.

“Its missing. Off the record my cousin is going to be giving Odan-Urr the mission to recover it. So it will probably be funneled down to you guy anyway,” the general informed. “The order will just come in a few days. They want us to investigate the loss of it first. After all, the Vatali wants the credit after the whole Dominion fiasco. The device made it into the system. It was last seen in a storage unit on one of Kiast’s moons. We suspect Quorahi pirates to be involved.”

“Lovely. Want to give me more details in the back room?” Tisto inquired.

“You… you have a backroom and I was telling you this out in the open?!” Jafan shouted wide eyed.

“Keep it down man. I was trying to see how much you would talk. You were direct. So I think I can trust you. We make a good team.” Tisto chuckled. “This is going to be fun.”

Meanwhile back on VSD Sunrider...

Revak had no idea what had just happened. The Kiffar had just handed him the Questars key card then ran off in a hurry. He had some time before his meeting so he decided to see what mess was left for him. Revak walked to the security door, held the key up to the scanner and with a whoosh the door flew open.

He stepped inside. It wasn't a very big room. The smell of stale alcohol lingered. Monitors covered the wall to his left. To his right was a few durasteel lockers. In front of him stood two chairs and a fairly large desk covered completely in stacks of papers and one plant barely holding onto life. With a long sigh he walked in and sat at the desk. He began sorting through the paperwork. Why Tisto insisted on having paper copies was beyond him, but many of them had the hastily scratched signature of the Consul. Deciding that he would deal with this another time.

There had been reports from SeNet that his team was on Kaist do to the recent events in the region. He had asked their leader, Lt.Colbren Lipscle, to meet with him. The Lieutenant was quick to agree.

Revak’s com chimed and a scruff male voice followed, “Sir, I have a… Lieutenant... Lipscle here. He says he has a meeting with you. Where should I send him.”

“Send him up to the…” Revak hesitated before reluctantly saying… “Questor’s office.”

A few moments later, the Chiss was standing in the doorway. He surveyed the cluttered room, then looked at Revak.

“Time hasn’t been friendly to you, has it Commander?”

Revak smiled, “this wasn’t me. Please come in. Have a seat.”

Revak stood to greet the Chiss. “You look well, Lieutenant. How are things?”

“We’ve been managing. There’s always something somewhere that needs to be done.”

“I’ve heard. Your work hasn’t gone unnoticed. I still like keeping tabs on things.”

The Chiss grinned. He was firm and direct. Not so much into small talk. He was all about the mission.

“I won’t bore you with pleasantries, Lieutenant. I need your help. Things in Kaist are unstable to say the least. Our Empress…”

Lipscle shot Revak a look of disbelief.

“Yeah, I know,” Revak cleared his throat, “The Empress, could be in danger and we need a more advanced force to both help stabilize the region and train her forces.”

The Chiss shifted in his chair. “Im sure you sense my reluctance to work under a government.”

“You won’t be. You’ll be serving under me. Taking orders only from me. There are Jedi that are willing to bring Strike-Team Ooroo back online. It’s part of the Clan’s ‘Coalitions Initiative’.”

“How many Jedi?”

“Not many know about StO, but with a little push and some results, I'm confident we could get a solid team together.”

“You know I'm all about getting results, Commander. What is our current situation?”

“We have pirates who have been coming from outside the system. We also have a force of united Quorahi tribes who are angry about us backing the Empress. All are being supplied by a black market.”

“Quite the mess you Jedi have made. What exactly will you be needing us to do?”

“Like I said, your mission will be to stabilize the area. Protection of House assets will be priority. Secondary will be training the Royal forces. Any Jedi who sign on under StO will be rooting out any threats to the Empress and the House.”

“We’ll need supplies and security clearances to....”

Revak cut him off… “You already have them.”

“Well then Commander, we are here to serve.”

Revak grinned. “I knew you’d agree. I set you up with a private hanger and private quarters for you and your team.”

The two shook hands and Lipscle exited the room.

Hello all,

Its that time of the year again… the leaves are changing, all the spooky stuff is on store shelves, people are walking around with pumpkin spice everything. Plus how cool does the site look? Things are gearing back up for the House. We had a fun GJW and now it's time to unwind, relax and focus on igniting our House story line. Don't want to give anything away but it will tell you this...

Where we stand right now is that we have given our allegiance to Empress Kaltani Anasaye who has amassed a large army after the Dominion insurgence. Without her, we Jedi would have no place to call home. Throughout the system though, there have been grumbles as groups that fear her power and our alliance begin to set events in motion that could spell trouble for us in the future. We have heard rumors that pirates have managed to make there way in and that the Quorahi tribes are beginning to band together and grow in strength.

One of the ways we will be combating this is to align ourselves with certain Coalitions. Tisto will be working with a small army known as the Knights of Urr, Ethan and Tython Squadron will be working closely with a band of mercenaries known as The Wildcards. I have close connections to a small group of covert fighters known as Strike-Team Ooroo. They look familiar right? Well that's because the idea for them was recycled from various disbanded groups and battleteams. The addition of these groups to the storyline is meant to mix things up a bit. Allows you to play around with different playstyles and to get the main story from a different perspective. Hope you like whats in store.

Also, we’ll be throwing competitions at you left and right so check your inboxes or the competitions page to see what there is to do.

Have a safe and happy Halloween!
