The holidays have come and went, and we all survived them for varying definitions of the word “survived”! I hope everybody stayed warm, got a chance to check in with friends/family/loved ones as appropriate to all, and just generally is doing alright.
Let’s kick off this new year with a bang, yeah?!

AED Applications
In case you missed it, I had the unfortunate responsibility last week of announcing that our Aedile Doon Sulvir has chosen to step down. We appreciate all the work and service Doon has done for our House and Battleteam, and hope that some day circumstances allow him to return.
That being said, AED Applications for House Qel-Droma are open. More specific details are in the linked post, but the short version is:
- If you have interest in taking a leadership role within the DJB
- If you feel like you are able to be responsive, responsible, and helpful to the House
- If you think you can work with my laid-back-but-mildly-insane personage

DB Wide Updates
Here’s all the news that’s fit to print since our last check-in:
- We got a teaser from the DGM with more info about how the new Seasons system is going to work. Seems interesting, at the very least.
- Life Day wrapped up. I hope everyone got what they wanted out of the special store!
- Our new Fist gave us a report on how things are going to go with gaming now. Also Marvel Rivals is now a Supported Platform for gaming!
- The Resource Rush event wrapped up. I hope everybody who took part had a good time with it!
- The Combat Master talked about a new ACC venue available, as well as the results of their recent competition!

Kicking off on Monday is a new, monthly competition I plan to run for tile perverts like me. Highest Single Match Score in Riichi Mahjong! If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to play mahjong, this is a great reason to rip off the band-aid and dive in! Fair warning, though, mahjong will ruin your life and eat away at your soul… haunted stare into the distance

- Our wonderful Voidbreaker Captain Mune has kicked off a new RP in Discord for members of the House! Come join in and take part in some combat exercises! I promise Alex won’t go full Mandalorian Rally Master Drill Sergeant! …Maybe. I’ll try…
