Hallo, my lektastic Qel-Drominians!

The end is nigh! Well, at least the end of this year both fictionally and chronologically. Are you all getting into the holiday mood? I know I’ve found my hot tipple of the season and now I shall indulge in some hot Glühwein at every opportunity. And opportunities they be aplenty!

On the Aedile front, I am pleased to announce a worthy successor to Jazzy in none other than our red-furred friend, Archian! He’ll be assisting me with the usual Aedile duties and, no doubt, making sure Port Ol’val remains suitably stocked with all manner of critters and creepy crawlies.

A Message from the Aedile

Greetings to all Qel-Dromans.

I am honored, and even more red than usual from excitement and happiness. And I really hope that I will not disappoint Jazzy's legacy and legendary achievements as Aedile.

To become Aedile is a big responsibility, and I hope to fulfill all of your expectations lifts his sleeves up to his shoulders

In the meantime let's do some competitions! It is the last month of this dual year. Let's show that our Qel-Droma House shows our affection, bravery and hands on culture to everyone. Paws up, creatures out of the slaves, and get the fancy goggles ready! The last Bantha ride of this year has begun!

House Fiction Update

Phantom Complex

Safe. Everyone was safe, or at least mostly alive. That was as good a result as Tali Sroka dared hope for. She certainly trusted each and every member of House Qel-Droma to take care of themselves in a tight spot, but when violence became inevitable the strands of fate tended to get messy. So much could hang upon so little.

Tali Sroka shivered as the waft of Hutt stench resurfaced in her mind, a vivid after thought from the daring raid they’d managed to pull off. The Hutts, or at least one particular family of them, had been a thorn in House Qel-Droma’s side since Whallatta the Hutt’s failed coup of Ol’val. Apparently the slugs had not forgotten, but neither had Arcona and hopefully the message they’d delivered to Chuntil’ah’s base of operations would be understood a bit better; Dajorra is ours.

But the long war was not over. Their enemies still lurked out there. Even bereft of supplies and new ‘membership’ from the Hutts’ slave pens, the Chlidren of Mortis remained at large and exceedingly powerful. Back on Selen, they had surely not seen the last of the so-called Old Gods either. Until they were defeated once and for all, she doubted she’d ever be able to enjoy a beach vacation in peace.

Such cheery thoughts in her mind, the Twi’lek made her way along the shrouded corridors of the Phantom Complex, the night cycle lighting mimicking the Selenian rhythm to lessen jump lag. The door to her quarters opened with a hiss of pneumatics, the cool recycled air washing over her face like a gentle breeze. It was as close to nature one could get on Ol’val.

Stacks of unfinished work greeted her on her desk, the sort of tasks she could not address with the point of her lightsaber.

“That’s a real Sithy mentality,” she muttered to herself as she made her way to the desk and sat down in the chair she’d already worn a groove into. “Vhat you needt is help, not more violence.”

It would be hard to replace Avery as her Aedile, but it was a post too important to keep vacant for long. Sometimes losses at peacetime outweighed those at war.

In Closing…

Been totally hooked on Netflix’s Wednesday show. Excellent talent and good fun. So far even the script is above average! Hope you all have a nice and relaxing holiday time ahead and partake fully in the ARC-COU event that will be with us Soon™.
